Dear BGen. Ricardo C. Morales:

This is in response to the e-mail letter our institution received on March 23, 2020 regarding the
Memorandum of Agreement for Healthcare Provider’s Interim Reimbursement Mechanism
(IRM) Under Fortuitous Event.

We believe that we are facing extraordinary conditions brought about by Covid-19 epidemic and it is
therefore necessary to institute temporary remedial measures in order for PhilHealth to aid affected
Healthcare Institutions to remain financially viable and continuously serve the healthcare needs of
affected PhilHealth beneficiaries and seriously affected families.

This letter serves as our formal Letter Of Intent to Avail of PhilHealth’s Interim Reimbursement
Mechanism (IRM) under Fortuitous Event.

In view of the uncertainty of the Covid-19 epidemic and the Enhanced Community Quarantine in

Luzon, our institution, TANAY GENERAL HOSPITAL, INC., is choosing the option of availing
the Full IRM fund. We are giving our assurance that we will conform to the general rules and
regulations in the Memorandum of Agreement as well as the policies and guidelines on claims
reimbursement.
