For Government Officials

Bangladesh is fast advancing towards achieving the goals of Vision 2021. As a succession of
that, countless numbers of officers and staff are employed at district level, not only at the
Deputy Commissioner's office, but at almost every Government offices across the country.
They undertake various tasks and assignments in order to actualize the Digital Bangladesh
through the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Most of their work is
highly important and often confidential. Due to lack of caution or appropriate knowledge
disasters can occur and often cause severe consequences. Confidential and sensitive
information can be leaked or reached to the wrong hands. A mishap like that can be of a
massive threat to the country and its people. Which is why, any user of ICT must have the
training on procedure of ICT safety and security. For the dream of Digital Bangladesh to
come true, it is essential that the Government officials and staff alike acquire the knowledge
on ICT safety. It is absolutely crucial that the Government personnel receive the proper
training for the sake of national security. The training will ensure that the officers and the
staff members know how to keep information safe and secure through ICT.

Thus, MIS Department, University of Dhaka, proposes The Basic IT User Safety and Security
Training for all the officials and staff of Government of Bangladesh.

1. Proposed Training Name: Certified Secure Computer User (CSCU), under global
certification authority EC-Council.

3. Training Highlites:

a. Course Overview:
The purpose of the CSCU training program is to provide individuals with the necessary
knowledge and skills to protect their information assets. This class will immerse students
into an interactive environment where they will acquire a fundamental understanding of
various computer and network security threats.

b. Training info:
Training Duration: 4 Days/ batch
Personnel per Batch: 25 person/ batch; 2 Batches for each districts
Total Participants Number: 3200 personnel
Delivery Methods: Instructor-led (Lab Based Hands-on / Classroom)
