The festivals in Colombia
People around the world celebrate different festivals. In Colombia,
for example there are many celebrations.
One festival is the Barranquilla’s Carnival. It is celebrated in February. People dance and make long
parades in the Street .People celebrate from Saturday to Tuesday when “Joselito Carnaval”,

the character that represents the carnival , dies. Next day it is Ash

Wednesday and people start the Lent , a season of

preparation to commemorate Jesuschrist’s death.

2.- A través de lenguaje corporal, los niños y niñas pueden hacer las mímicas para que el resto del grupo
adivine y diga en inglés lo que están haciendo, mientras usan el vocabulario estudiado. Por ejemplo, un niño
puede simular que está soplando una velita para que los demás adivinen que se refiere a un cumpleaños:
