Walk and talk

Take warm clothes and rubber boots or other robust shoes – the paths might be muddy or ever flooded. Walk with your group mates and discuss the
readings and what you experience during the walk. You can prepare certain questions in advance or while you walk – decide within the groups. You
can start from 1 and follow the numbers or take the walk in any other direction. It’s only possible to pass the rail tracks at the marked spots. Don’t
even think about any other possibility – there is a train passing every other minute!

Pay special attention to

• The urban fringe – border between landscape and built structures. Draw sections to show the spatial relations and how they are experienced.
Think about views, greenery, animals, biodiversity etc.
• Allotment areas – their location, traces of use, land use, aesthetical aspects etc. As an example of urban farming. Relate to readings.
• Allotments with cottages – their locations in relation to maintenance, accessibility etc.
• Make sure that you sketch, take photos, make notes and of course discuss – make the most of the walking seminar – and have a good time!
