 The audiobook is iconic from the first moment

 The city literally feels alive it’s insanely amazing
 “I am Manhattan” “Welcome to New York” CHILLS
 Do we ever learn about the characters’ past lives or is that just not important?
 Brooklyn’s magic is based in magic and I am in love
 The diversity in this is already amazing – the only white character so far is a crazy racist lady
and I love that
 Will each of the books be about a different city or will everything happen in New York?
 Who is the White Woman? How can she travel so close?

city is known of or just random?

 So Bronca knows everything but doesn’thave the right vocabulary – does she knows
everything about New York or just her borough?

 Mix of fantasy and science fiction is amazing

enjoy hearing about, considering they mention things I never would even consider when it
comes to racism – my white privilege (for example Queens and filming crews, Bronx being

 The sciences in the book – mathematics, quantum physics, universes and time continuum,

 Brooklyn is kickass as well
 Whitey can change her appearance as she wants and her shadow moves before she does

 Aislyn literally is told she needs to be stopped and defeated and she doesn’t do shit bc she is
too afraid of the entire world

 Brooklyn is not perfect, she made mistakes in her music, but she learned from it and this is
what we can ask. She learned, she apologized, she tried to make up for it and then not make
the same mistake again
