Conditionals with Imperative Outline
Content
We can use imperatives in the main clause of conditionals as well. With this you
can also make a suggestion. Ex. 'If you never exercise, you become fat.'

Please note
Generally there are 3 types of conditionals.
We choose the appropriate type depending on
the time and context.
Conditional I is used to express events that are
likely to happen in the present or future.
If + Present Simple, clause: will+ infinitive
Examples
If we prepare well for our exams, we will pass them.
If the weather is fine, I will go jogging.
If he confesses to it, I will tell the police.

Please note
It‘s possible to use different tenses in the 1st
conditional. We can also use imperative
sentences in the main clause. Note that there
is no specific subject in the imperative.
Examples
If you don‘t know the answer, just ask.
If you feel anxious about tomorrow‘s exam, try to listen to relaxing music
and sleep earlier.
