On THE CONTEMPORARY FOREIGN POLICY OF INDIA AND RELATIONS

Krityanand UNESCO Club, Jamshedpur is a non-government organization (NGO) established in 1992, Registered Under Societies Registration Act, 1860
and has consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.

Each summer, we welcome nearly 50 interns from India and around the world for a packed Programme
of Internship, Research and Development as well as social activities. This year's Summer internship
programs continues run due to COVID-19, (Work from Home), and are aimed at Under Graduate and Post
Graduate students. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in broadening their horizons and
learning more about Indian Foreign Policy (International Relations). During their time with us, each intern
produces a supervised research project, chosen by them with guidance from Senior Research Associate.

Purpose
India has a long tradition of foreign policy and diplomacy. India remains a great, nuclear power with important geopolitical interests.
Multilateralism, both at the global level but also at the regional, sub-regional, and mini-lateral levels, is a phenomenon to which New Delhi
attaches immense importance. it is still is the dominant player in South Asia, and has the ability to hold its own. The most important factor in
India’s rise, its relations with its neighbors, with China, and with the United States is its economic growth, and its ability to translate this
growth into power and influence.
Overview of the Program:

The Krityanand UNESCO Club is an institution of research and higher education dedicated to the study of Political Affairs, with a particular emphasis on
the cross-cutting fields of international relations and economic development issues. Through our core activities, we aim to promote a contribution to the
progress of in this area. The Programme is aimed at students with a strong analytical and quantitative background, and offers an unparalleled experience. In
today’s volatile and unpredictable global order, it has become increasingly important for decision makers in business to have a grounded understanding of
the various political, social, economic, technological and environmental drivers of global change.
This program focusses on the core concepts for understanding globalization and global change, from the disciplines of international relations, political
science, political economy.

Objective
The objective is to provide a one-stop, authentic resource for anyone interested in India’s foreign policy. It is best suited for students and teachers of
political science and international relations as well as policy makers interested in India’s foreign policy. The Contemporary Foreign Policy of India and
Relations (FPIR) concentration equips students with a broad understanding of the processes of Indian Foreign Policy, to conduct in-depth study and
research on every aspect of Indian Foreign Policy in international perspective as well as in the context of contemporary world developments. With the
international community viewing India as an emerging global player, its increasing diplomatic activities- political, economic and strategic- need to be
studied to develop a body of informed opinion on Indian foreign affairs in the context of the developments in international politics.

The FPIR concentration attracts diverse students from UG/PG Level only (Political Science) .

CONCENTRATION: THE CONTEMPORARY FOREIGN POLICY OF INDIA AND RELATIONS (FPIR)

The Concentration “The Contemporary Foreign Policy of India and Relations (FPIR) “ in program is a series of two-months Internship on the principles of
Indian Foreign Policy analysis. The objective is to provide a one-stop, authentic resource for anyone interested in India’s foreign policy. It is best suited for
students and teachers of political science and international relations as well as policy makers interested in India’s foreign policy.

Prerequisites: Students are expected to have basic knowledge in Political Science, International Relations.
