The most recent editions of the standards (including amendments) indicated below shall be applied. JIS B 0126 Glossary of terms for thermal power plants — Boilers and auxiliary equipment JIS B 8224 Boiler feed water and boiler water — Testing methods JIS K 0556 Testing methods for determination of anions in highly purified water 8 Terms and definitions For the purpose of this Standard, the definitions given in JIS B 0126 and JIS B 8224, and the following definitions apply. a) feed water the mixed water of condensate water(*) and make-up water(”) supplied to the boiler entrance (economizer entrance if an economizer is provided) by a feed water pump However, when targeting special components such as dissolved oxygen, the feed water shall be the water sampled from the sampling position specified in 4.2 b) of JIS B 8224. Notes () Water condensed in and after the portion of the system where steam is used, and reused for feed water. © Water mixed with condensate water for make-up. When no conden sate water is available at all, the total quantity of feed water corre- sponds to that of make-up water, and the quantity of make-up water when almost all the amount of steam generated is recovered as con- densate water corresponds to the shortage amount of the feed water (for example, the steam use, the blow, and the leakage). b) boiler water the water condensed in the circulation boiler Generally, this water is represented by water in the drum. ¢) circulation boiler the generic name of natural circulation boiler and forced circulation boiler ‘The circulation boilers include cylindrical boilers, special circulation boilers and water tube boilers, d) natural cireulation boiler the boiler which circulates naturally boiler water by the difference of density of saturated water including steam bubbles PROTECTED BY COPYRIGHT 2 B 8223 : 2006 e) p h) dD i k) D m) n) °) P) forced circulation boiler the boiler which circulates boiler water forcedly by using a circulation pump cylindrical boiler the cylindrical boiler of which the shell is the main body and a flue tube, fire box, smoke tube, ete. are provided in its inside. The cylindrical boilers include vertical boilers, flue tube boilers, smoke tube boilers, flue and smoke tube boilers, ete. special circulation boiler the water tube boiler(®) mainly consisting of tubes which feeds water from one end, takes out the mixture of steam and water from the other end, and after separating by steam separator, makes the returning amount of hot water to heating tubes 50 % or less of that of steam-and water mixture. These boilers include the forced circulation type boiler(*) consisting of single or a few tubes, and the boiler(®) consisting of plural tubes, all of which are heating tubes of risers, and a header. Notes (°) This boiler is handled as the once-through boiler in the Industrial Safety and Health Law and the Safety Regulation for Boiler and Pres- sure Vessels. (It is commonly called a single tube type boiler. (®) It is commonly called a plural tube type boiler. water tube boiler boiler consisting of a drum and many heating water tubes, which conducts evaporation in the water tubes. heat recovery steam generator the boiler consisting of multi-pressure drums and many heating water tubes, which uses exhaust heat from the gas turbine for the power generation, and conducts evaporation in the water tubes. once-through boiler the boiler which makes feed water run through the boiler by using its pump to evaporate normal operating pressure the maximum pressure for practical operation evaporation rate of heating surface the evaporation amount per hour [kg/ (m*-h)] in the evaporation unit area alkali treatment the method of treatment to adjust the pH of boiler water mainly with sodium hydroxide and adjust the concentration of phosphate ion by phosphate (mainly sodium salt) phosphate treatment the method of treatment to adjust the pH and the concentration of phosphate ion of boiler water by phosphate (mainly sodium salt) volatile matters treatment the method of treatment by the use of volatile matters only, in which the pH of boiler water or feed water is adjusted by ammonia or volatile amine and the dissolved oxygen is removed by hydrazine oxygen treatment the method of treatment to add a trace of oxygen as oxidizing agent to feed water of high purity and to prevent corrosion by the protective film which is mainly made of a-iron (III) oxide (a-FezOs: hematite) on the steel surface by the oxidizing action and is maintained by its action Information : Treatment with a trace of sodium hydroxide ‘The method of treatment to adjust the pH of boiler water with a trace of sodium hydroxide in place of phosphate, and to strictly control the concen- tration of the chloride ion. Howev- er, the concentration of phosphate ion should be preferably adjusted to be higher taking into consideration the leakage of sea water. When the pressure is 1 MPa or under, apply the water conditioning in the case where the ion-exchanged water is used for make-up water in the pressure division over 1 MPa up to and including 2 MPa in table 3. However, the concentration of phosphate ion should be preferably ad- justed to be higher taking into consideration the leakage of sea water. 3. Water conditioning of feed water for single tube type boilers applies to make-up water, or mixed water of make-up water and condensate after the addition of, first recover water and then chemicals. 4 Water conditioning of feed water for plural tube type boilers applies to the feed water before adding of recover water. The sampling position of boiler water can include two positions, i.e., a lower part of a steam sep- arator and the header of the lower part of the body for the structures of the boilers on the market. Since the sample from the former position can be concentrated slightly, and thus, the water conditioning shall be adjusted to slightly higher values. In the sample from the latter position, the condition of the water is, not always uniform during the operation, and attention shall be paid to the sampling position and the sampling timing so that the sample which is as close to the average as possible can be obtained. 5 In accordance with NOTE 8 in table 1. 8 B 8223 : 2006 Gc) a Te ce = = = = = = = goaro | somre | vomro | oraro | oraro GOT HNSuN ouTEIPC ore | orme | ors | orve | ozmor | como | cmon or | Gowm or COS wo NIN ave | arms | sras | srms | oemor | oso | ormoz | ormoz | orcoe GoW Foam) vor eUdSOUR xewog | serosa | e001 | xemoor | semoat | semoer | sewooe | xemroor | ew 000 (TIO) WOH PHONO (9.88%) revugg | xewog | xomoe | xemoor | xewoer | rewosr | ~semooe | xem aoy | xe ogy ys Syanompa0> 8991, = = = = = ‘zea oo0@ | sem cos | eu 000 | CIB) onpiser wonexodeas (eos, = e xewos | xeurozt | xewoor | xewooe | xemoo2 | ooo | cose os exsoosoeen - ‘eu oor | semqer | xeuroer | ew ose | e909 | one sor | 008% oor | e'rFid) wunowe vordumnstion poy sorave | sorage | sorave |otrmoor| eormes | stravor | etraon [sitson | eon (oem He yesunean yuouneon | quounven | yuouqeon a9ye8 syeyasoua aysydeoud rey | areydsoua yeoumean porous yuowwany, | 0108 “aR 09 “un 90% = 5 “eu 08 = = = = = ‘ea 0oT "560!
