ASSIGNMENT 1 Sadia Taskeen
1
NAME= Sadia Taskeen
ARID NO=19-ARID-5350
Example:-
Class limits are the smallest and largest observations (data, events etc) in each
class. Hence, each class has two limits: a lower and upper limit. Example: Class
Frequency 300 – 399 13 400 – 499 20 500 – 599 7 600 – 699 3 700 – 799 12
800 – 899 8 900 – 999 7.
Class boundary:-
“When we have different classes of data, there is always an upper and a lower
class limit for it i.e. the dataset has a smallest and largest value. Class boundary
is the midpoint of the upper class limit of one class and the lower class limit of
the subsequent class”.
Class mark:-
“A value represented by the mid value of a class interval”.
Class interval:-
“The size of each class into which a range of a variable is divided, as
represented by the divisions of a histogram or bar chart”.
Example:
You measure the length of leaves on a rose bush. Some are less than 1 cm, and
the longest is 9 cm. You then put the lengths into groups.
