Basic Concepts and Terms in Geometry

Activity 1: Guided Discovery


To get started, probe the students to identify things in real world.

1. What can you see around us in terms or geometric terms?


2. How do you see the seeds of a watermelon? What about the floor of you room, and the flag pole of
our school?
3. What are your observations in this pictures?
4. Recite and present your answers to the class.

Activity 2 (Contextualization)
The students will be grouped proportionally. The students will find objects that represent point, line, or
plane around the school premises. They will get 5 objects per group.
