Weather and Clothes

In Spring Mexicans usually wear short sleeve t-shirts and tank tops in
light, pastel and neon tones, white or full colored sweatpants because
the weather is tempered.

In spring, Mexican womens can use various types of patterns like balls
or related to flowers and your shoes can clearly be quite light with low
heels because is highly favorable element to maintain elegance and
freshness on the feet.

In summer, mexicans use swimsuits and bermuda shorts for the beach,
cotton and silk shirts and blouses in light and pastel colors, light pants
and hats because summer it’s so hot in México.

In summer, Mexican women use open heel and light shoes too,
because is a footwear that give them high comfort in this hot season.

In autumm Mexicans use clothes not very light, but not too warm, they
use light sweaters and shirts with colors that evoke the season like
reds, browns, oranges because the weather is dry and cool.

In winter Mexicans use coats, jackets, scarves, sweaters and socks are
the clothes they use because is the coldest season.

Winter boots are used in footwear by mexicans in this seasons


because combine perfectly with an outfit for cold.

In winter, Mexicans use brown, gray, purple, and red color clothes
because are characteristic colors to protect from the cold of this
season.

2. Food

Mexicans eat many jalapeños and chili peppers with their foods
because they like spicy flavors.

Mexicans eat many tacos too, because tacos are a cheap fast food
and they can find everywhere.
Mexicans like drink much tequila because it´s their national drink,
known around the world.

Mexicans love eat many corn made tortillas, because is a traditional


food from their natives ancestors.

Mexicans eat much refried beans because they like use the beans in
many of their recipes.

Mexicans eat some insects like grasshoppers (chapulines), maguey


worms and chicano ants because they think insects have a high
nutritional value.

Mexicans eat many fish because Mexico have coast over both oceans:
Pacific an Atlantic, where they can obtain different kinds of fish.

Mexicans don’t drink any teas because they prefer chocolate and
coffee.

3. Famous people

Salma Hayek Jiménez was born in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico


on september 2nd, 1966. Her mother, Diana Jiménez Medina, was an
opera singer and talent scout.

In school, doctors diagnosed that she was dyslexic. She attended


university at the Universidad Iberoamericana where she studied
International Relations.

In 1989, at the age of 23, Hayek got the lead role in Teresa, a
successful Mexican telenovela that made her a star in Mexico.

In 1994, Hayek starred in the film Miracle Alley, which has won more
awards than any other movie in the history of Mexican cinema. For her
performance, Hayek has obtained a nomination for an Ariel Award.

In 1995, Salma Hayek starred opposite Antonio Banderas the known


film Desperado. In 2003, she reprised her role from Desperado by
appearing in Once Upon a Time in Mexico, the final film of the Mariachi
Trilogy.

Around 2000, Hayek founded film production company Ventanarosa,


through which she produces film and television projects.

In 2002, Salma Hayek starred Frida, as Mexican painter Frida Kahlo,


her breakthrough role, for which she has obtained a nomination for
Best Actress for the Academy Award, BAFTA Award, Golden Globe
Award, and Screen Actors Guild Award.

She has won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing in a
Children/Youth/Family Special for The Maldonado Miracle in 2004, and
has received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding
Guest Actress in a Comedy Series after guest-starring in the ABC
television comedy-drama Ugly Betty in 2007.

She has won a place as one of fifteen women selected to appear on


the cover of the September 2019 issue of British Vogue. Salma Hayek
has been a member of the 2005 Cannes Film Festival jury.
