Definition of the SAP:-
system The SAP system is originally a name for a company bearing this name, which
is an abbreviation of systems, applications and data processing and this company
was established in 1972 in Germany. Modified. By some of the engineers who
worked for the American company known as IBM. The aim of establishing this
company was to find software versions for the administration, in order to link them
to each other according to one single system in order to improve in and the ability to
perform them, in order to dispense with many systems and software that are
different in their characteristics. This system has helped many companies; Where it
facilitated its work according to a single application program for all companies of all
kinds, and it is mentioned that there are many companies and institutions across the
world that use this system; These include automobile manufacturers and computer
manufacturers, in addition to many electronic device manufacturers and investment
companies, and it is worth noting that IBM itself uses SAP products; Whereas, this
system provided all companies operating according to the applications of this system
to work easily, especially in the field of management of their resources; As it is considered
a strong and coherent system as well, there is an increasing interest and demand for this
system.
Applications :-
The SAP system has many applications, which can be used together, and can also be used
separately, and the applications of this system are known in general, which are related to
each other, in what is called SAP Modules, except for each application of These applications
have a special price, and a separate license for them as well. Among the applications that are
within SAP, there are the following:
ETABS:-
is a computer program based on finite element theory dedicated exclusively to the analysis
and design of structural sentences for buildings. The idea for its design started in 1963, when
it produced the first version at Berkeley University in California, USA in 1984. Many copies of
the program were subsequently developed. The 8.4 version of the ETS program was used in
modeling Burj Khalifa,
2
the tallest building in the world currently, for structural analysis under the influence of
vertical and side loads (wind and earthquakes) and considering the effects of P-delta.
Use :-
It is used for designing different installations where the horizontal projection of the floor to
be designed is entered into the program, and by several orders the program is to be
dissolved and what is meant to be dissolved here is that the program tells us whether the
dimensions and quantities of iron entered in the calculations are sufficient or need to be
increased

STAD PRO:
It is a program that analyzes construction statistically of all kinds and is easy to use. It helps
the civil engineer in analyzing all construction elements. It is an upgraded version of the old
program STAAD 3, where a lot of orders have been changed and the program’s capabilities
have been greatly increased and many features have been included
Use :
It can be used in various forms from traditional static analysis to newer methods of analysis
such as p-delta analysis, nonlinear engineering analysis, pushover analysis, nonlinear
analysis, or torsion analysis. It can also take advantage of the various forms of dynamic
analysis methods from time history analysis to response spectrum analysis. The response
spectrum analysis feature is supported for each of the user-defined spectra in addition to a
number of specific international symbol spectra. In addition, STAAD.Pro is interoperable with
applications such as RAM Connection, AutoPIPE, SACS and many engineering design and
analysis applications to further improve collaboration between the different disciplines
involved in the project. STAAD can be used to analyze and design all types of construction
projects from factories, buildings and bridges to towers, tunnels, metro stations and water /
wastewater treatment plants
The STAAD Pro program is one of the pioneering programs in the field of facilities analysis
and design because of its memorizing specifications, the most important of which are:
1. The program includes effective methods and various tools for modeling complex three-
dimensional installations through its modern and sophisticated graphical interface.
2.The program contains a large number of ready-made facility models in its general template
with the ability to modify all values of parameters (variables) to obtain the required model
with minimal effort.
3.The analysis and design tools available in the programs cover a wide range of wooden
structural models with flexibility and superior ease in determining the values of design
parameters.
4.The mathematical formulation of the specific elements (decimal and volumetric) built in
STAAD Pro depends on the hybrid method that fulfills all the conditions required for
compatibility, convergence, and stability. The program includes its own text editor to edit
written commands with the ability to use any other text editor.
5.The program's editor includes practical tools for building and modifying command files.
The STAAD Pro program includes a partial program for presenting reports.
6.The program features advanced capabilities for creating customized and professional
reports for the project. 4
Primavera :
is a program used to plan projects. The program is used to prepare project schedules,
calculate and control costs, as well as monitor project growth, either with progress or delay.
It also calculates the duration of the project and the resources to be used and determines
the optimal use of these resources, in addition to the ability to review any previous project
and compare it to the current situation, and know the extent of delay, whether at the level
of time period or at the level of resources.
Use :
It is designed to help the user to manage, organize, arrange and evaluate different projects
by several different tools and features, in addition to that it allows the user to know where
the resources used for the project go. It also explains to the user if there is a shortage of
resources, and helps the user to complete projects on time, and is integrated with e-mail
sites and mobile devices so that project managers can communicate with each other and
communicate with employees.
