Role Summary/Purpose
Accelerate your career as a Flow Commercial Application Engineer for the fast growing Measurement &
Control Solutions business in Energy Services. This position offers those with a strong technical
background a chance to learn or enhance yours skills in the technical and commercial side of the
business and work with the local sales team to develop a complete technical solution for our customers.

Essential Responsibilities
1. Interpret the technical requirements of customer specifications and Requests for quotations, and
convert them into appropriate Bill of Materials and related explanation of solution that can be
incorporated directly into a Bid/Proposal by the Commercial Team
2. Responsible for Technical proposal generation. Proposal Quality, timeliness & accuracy are key
measurement criteria’s for this position.
3. Work with technical regulatory team, ensure the proposed Bill of Materials meets Technical
Regulatory requirements for end use destination
4. Work with Sourcing team to identify and price 3rd party product and services required to deliver
solution.
5. Able to conduct technical presentations to all levels at Customer’s end. Provide technical support to
Project Management team to ensure successful execution of projects.
6. Continuously develop domain expertise understanding both GE and competitive solutions with
potential to meet customer requirements to a level that permits input on solution’s competitive
strengths and weaknesses.
7. Have Wing to wing ownership of the analysis of individual Custom Product Opportunities, working
with relevant Product Management, Technology and Global Supply Chain teams to ensure adequate
costing, technical application and commercial input is provided to ensure the correct result from
approval process that determines whether the company will develop the requested solution.
8. Work closely with the Customer Service department to ensure that customers receive fast response
to technical queries.
9. Manage project handover from ITO phase to OTR phase.

Qualifications/Requirements
Engineering degree, Instrumentation preferred with Domain expert with deep technical knowledge of
Flow products and their application.
