Q. 1 An LTI discrete time systems consists of two subsystems S1 and S2 in cascade as shown in
Fig. 1, impulse response of these systems are h1 and h2 respectively, given by
h1 (n)  4  (n)  3 (0.5) n u (n) and h2 (n)  2 n u (n) Find the composite system impulse
response without using any transform.

(b) Find the unit impulse response of the LTI system discrete system specified by the
difference equation

Q. 3 Determine the output of linear FIR filter whose impulse response h[n] = {1, 2, 3} and the
input signal x[n] = ={1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9}using overlap-add method. Also verify the
