Dear All, good morning:

As per above mentioned subject, the CMEC has completed the HRSG #1 and HRSG #2 support installation work required for the GE performance test
team. Here we need to clarification on the following points:
1. CMEC confirmed the installation plan with GE by E-mail (see the following email for details), and finally determine the plan as follows:
1) U-steel specification: #10, L=100, quantity 4 (per HRSG)
2) bolt specifications: M12 × 70
3) The welding support directly above the inner pipe orifice of the reserved interface at the bottom
4) The internal installation position of the U-steel support is shown in the figure:

2. The support also needs GE's performance test team to go to the site for review before the performance test device can be installed.

3. The welded support is on the flue liner. It is only used to install the wire rope through the rings. It does not have too much tensile force and will not
cause damage to the inner liner. Moreover, the GE team has been doing this, it is a mature installation plan;

4. After the HRSG performance test is completed, these supports will be removed to restore the original condition of the flue.

Best regards!

Hi Yosry,

Here are the replies

1. Both positions (1) or (2) will work as there is only 200 mm difference between the two. We will let the site team choose to their convenience
2. For the channel I’m open to either 100 or 200 mm channel. To make life easier for all parties involved, if they can weld the channel along with M12 bolt
and nut with the channel, it will avoid confusion for sizing.

Dear sir:
for the position of the channel, please see the attached pictures:

Please help us to confirm the following 2 things:
1.As the transition part is tilted, the position is right above the indicated hole in the picture, we'd like to know we should take
the opening inside(2) or outside(1)?, there would be about 200mm's difference.
2. For the normal channel steel, we have the width of 100 and 200, which one should we use? and do we have the bolt size?
such as M10 or M12? when we send this to the installation team, they would ask the same questions
Regards
Li

Wish you have a nice day

Subject: RE: EXT: Re: HRSG InletGrid (performance test)

Hi Yosry,

Please find my replies below

1. Grid is temporary, we will remove it immediately after testing

2. Temperature grid
a. Grid and thermocouples are provided by GE,
b. GE technician will install it inside the HRSG. All we need support is welding the support channel at 4 locations on top of the HRSG.
c. Location would be as per the drawings I sent earlier. Common channel is enough as this is only a short term use
3. All we are asking is welding of 4 channels on the top of HRSG. Position is right on top of the drain holes at the hrsg inlet. Please find pictures
below for reference. I have already made drawings and sent out earlier
a. Distance between the Channel

b. Location of the bolt/channel. Top of the HRSG, above the holes on the bottom. Holes are shown below for reference

With regard to the cost, as per the agreed test procedure CMEC should provide us craft labor and support for executing site specific tasks.

Subject: EXT: Re: HRSG InletGrid (performance test)

Dear sir:
Refer to your email below, we can support to fabricate and weld but with the following doubts:
1. Is this grid permanent or temporary?
2. The material and specification of the grid and bolts(such as whether it should be high-temperature resistance
material, etc., as site team doesn't have the stainless steel or heat resistant steel, only has the common channel steel
which can be used for short period in high temperature)
3. The exact position of the grid
For the above mentioned issues, the installation scheme and drawings are highly appreciated.

Furthermore, this work will generate certain expenses ( for scaffolding, welding, etc.), will GE be responsible for it?

Regards
Li

Team,

I got the following email from the performance test team:

“For the upcoming Steam turbine performance test, we will have to install temperature measurement grid at the inlet of the HRSG.
For installing this measurement we have sent in all the required measurement probes with our instrumentation. Arun had already
helped identify the dimensions from site.

We need site help for welding a bracket at the top of HRSG so we can tie up our instrumentation at HRSG inlet. I’m attaching
photos from another site where the site team helped fabricate and weld the brackets.”

Could you please support the performance test team.
