ALCOHOL INTOXICATION

- A condition associated with drinking too much alcohol in a

short amount of time.
Question ? who among you experience alcohol intoxication?
- What have you experience?
- What is your observation of an intoxicated person ?
ANSWER:
- CRYING, LAUGHING, DRAMA, SPEAKING ENGLISH,
DANCING. Make zigzag walk. lying in the street
OK, when a person consume a lot of alcohol it changes his
behavior and produces physical abnormalities
What are the physical abnormalities that happen?
1. Euphoria - a feeling a state of intense excitement and
happiness.
Often more than that, it’s usually crazy, happy, over top….

2. POOR COORDINATION AND NO CONTROL OF BODY
MOVEMENTS
Because of too much intake of alcohol, they have no control of
body movements
3. POOR JUDGEMENT - Refers to the inability to make
appropriate decisions….

- He/ she might be unable to evaluate the different factors
that should be considered when making a decision.
- Examples:
Bad mouthing to one person in front of others
Pagsasalita ng hindi maganda or maayos sa kapwa.

4. Distorted speech - means that a sound is produces in an

unfamiliar way…
5. Confusion – (PAGKALITO) - unclear in one’s mind about
something…This is one cause of alcohol intoxication,
6. And even Death ,if he consume enough alcohol

Now, as a worker in a housekeeping department /what are

you going to do if you noticed that one of your guest showing
of alcohol intoxication?
- Offered him non- alcohol beverages like coffee, warm
water
- Stop him on drinking alcoholic drinks
- Inform to your immediate supervisor
- Ask the help of a coworker or manager to help you
refused serving alcoholic drinks.
 We learned that if the guest requested for the
arrangement of his flights to other tourist spot of the country.
We were referred him to the Front desk… coz front desk can
do it for him…
2. We learned also how to make up room when there is a
guest inside……. So, we need to do first the bed make up so
that the the guest could comfortably rest before to proceed to
clean the other area of the room.

3. We learned also that between checkout room and request

for makeup room which one will we do first’
Of course we will do first the request for makeup room we
will not let the guest wait for his/her request…
