NOTES FOR CONSULTATION OF MANUAL


This manual is supplied in single copy with the purchase of the machine. In the event that the customer needs more
copies, must be requested from the manufacturer, specifying the model and serial number of the machine in
question (the data are on the identification plate).

This manual was written in Italian by the Technical Office of the Manufacturer and is translated into all the languages
of the countries of the European Community in which the car is sold. In case of dispute or incorrect translation and
interpretation, the text makes the manual in the language of the country of the manufacturer of the machine.

The use of the machine in question necessarily involve that the User is a person of good professional skills and work
experience on similar machines. Otherwise, it is essential that the User support a course of use of the machine at
the headquarters of the manufacturer or from a Reseller or otherwise supported by qualified personnel from the
Manufacturer.

This manual is an integral part of the machine and, therefore, should be stored so that it is always available for
consultation, and in a protected, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Throughout this manual there are several safety guidelines that aim to make it simple and safe use of the machine.
To facilitate understanding were divided into:

WARNING:with this term, are identified those eventualities that may compromise the integrity of the machine.

WARNING: with this term are identified, those eventuality that may also jeopardize the safety of the operator. In
some cases are shown in bold.

NOTE:with this term, are identified general machine information and important information for the success of the
production cycle.

TO THE TECHNICAL DEPARTMENTS OF THE M ANUFACTURER.
The machine tool builder reserves the right to make changes to the dimensions, shapes and
characteristics of the same at any time and without notice.

WARNINGS MAIN USE OF THE MACHINE

And is mandatory read this Instruction Manual before carrying out any work on the machine: its
operation by unqualified people could cause serious damage to persons and property.

All maintenance, adjustment and replacement described in this Instruction Manual should only be
performed after stopping the machine by placing the switch on the electrical panel POSITION 0.
Do not service machinery before shutting down the mobile elements that compose it.

Before performing any maintenance, make sure that the machine has finished its last cycle, that
all tools are still working and that the system is isolated from all sources of energy. Is ABSOLUTELY
FORBIDDEN TO ENTER AND / OR DISCONNECT PNEUMATIC AIR WITH GUARDS AND PROTECTIVE DOOR
OPENED AND / OR DISCONNECTED.

Check that the electric circuit is adequately protected and that match the characteristics of the
main engine: the machine is equipped with an identification label which shows the values of the
power, frequency and supply voltage.
Also, check that there is ground and that there is a differential switch regularly upstream of the
power cord.

Technical staff to run the machine must wear protective clothing hygienic and (hair cap, latex
gloves, etc.). AND FORBIDDEN the use of jackets, shirts with cuffs unbuttoned, scarves or any
garment loose fitting clothes that can be caught in moving mechanical parts. Also do not ever
wear jewelry such as bracelets, watches or rings and keep the hair cut short and without tails.

Before starting the work cycle ensure that the guards and safety devices are in place and
effective.

The connection to the various sources of energy must be made by qualified and experienced
personnel, in accordance with current regulations.

It is advisable to protect the machine's main power through the adoption of safety switches (circuit
breakers).

Never use the machine for any reason if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or drugs
that induce sleepiness.

The presence of magnetic or electromagnetic fields in close proximity may affect the smooth
functioning of the electrical and electronic equipment. The ideal conditions of temperature and
humidity for the correct focus in use of the machine are those environmental.

During operation of the machine not groped, for any reason, to get their hands in the work area
because, although they are present various protection devices that disarm promptly if the
machine operated, the risk of scalding, identified at the group welding.

Before carrying out the adjustment, maintenance and / or replacement of the operator is required
to wait a certain period after stopping the machine: this period, in fact, is required to obtain the
cooling of the zones that are heated during the normal cycle of operation.

It is forbidden to tamper with, alter or modify, even partially, the car, the equipment of the system
of command and control and related devices to interface with the operator, as well as the
protections for the safety of persons.

It is forbidden to use the machine under conditions or for purposes other than those indicated in
the manual. The manufacturer can not be held liable for breakdowns, problems or accidents
caused by failure to observe this prohibition.

In the unlikely event that you were to develop a fire caused by a short circuit of the electrical
equipment on the machine, it is absolutely forbidden to use water to extinguish the flames: in this
case, you must use the appropriate fire extinguishers in the workplace.

The connection of electricity and system grounding, and all sources of energy needed to run the
machine must be carried out by experienced, qualified and trained to work safely and in
accordance with current regulations.

E 'extremely important that no unauthorized person transits into the working area of the machine
or worse intervene on a component during its operation, in order to prevent possible injury.

The protections were provided by the manufacturer in order to ensure the safety of the operator.
During operation, the guards must not be removed for any reason.

CAPITOLO 1 - GENERAL INFORMATION REGARDING THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL

1.1 INTRODUCTION
This manual is a valuable aid to understand and properly use Your machine: must therefore read it carefully before
using it.
Each machine is sold with its own Instruction Manual. The User is responsible for the administration of this manual
for the entire life of the machine and will ensure the destruction, only disposal of the machine stessa.Il Manufacturer
is not liable for any tampering of this manual or any changes made by the user on the machine, after delivery of the
same, and not provided for in this documento.Il Manufacturer reserves the intellectual property rights of this Manual
and prohibits full disclosure and in part in any form (print, photocopy, microfilm, or other means) and so and the
production, reproduction or dissemination, through electronic means, to legal or natural persons without his approval
and registration.

1.3 DOCUMENT SCOPE


The purpose of the Manual is to provide the User with directions and information to which strictly adhere to a correct
use of the machine and for the protection and safety of the operator called to interact with it. For this reason you
should review:
- make available this document in the workplace and to make it known and to illustrate to all operators,
- transmit the manual to subsequent owners of the machine.

1.4 USING THE MANUAL


This is addressed to the User Manual of the machine, to the leaders in charge of the shift, installation, operation,
monitoring and demolition finale.Il Manual serves to indicate the use of the machine required by the design
assumptions and specifications, provides instructions for displacement, the installation correctly and safely, the
assembly, adjustment and use; provides information to address maintenance, facilitates ordering spare parts and
provides information on any particular risks residui.In made available continuously on the following information:
- Conditions prescribed for use of the machine;
- Workplace occupied by the operator;
- Instructions for:
commissioning, use, transport, installation, assembly and disassembly, adjustments, maintenance and
repair, any training instructions.

1.5 COMPLIANCE WITH LEGISLATION


In addition to the rules of this manual, must be respected the laws specific to the prevention of occupational
accidents.

1.6 CONSERVATION MANUAL


The manual is considered an integral part of the machine and must be kept in good condition until the final
demolition of stessa.Il Manual must be stored in a protected, dry place, away from direct sunlight and must be
always available and helpful, for consultation , near the machine.

1.7 INFORMATION TO THE USER


1. This manual reflects the current state of the art of the machine and can not be considered
inadequate if it is updated according to new experiences.
2. The Manufacturer reserves the right to update products and manuals, without any obligation to update
preceding products or manuals.
3. The characteristics of the materials can be changed at any time, depending on the technical evolution, without
notice.
4. In the event that the machine is supplied without the electrical control and protection (electrical panel on the
machine), the manufacturer assumes no responsibility for safety issues arising from electrical parts do not
comply with the recommendations and / or prescribed. In any case, compliance with all laws and regulations for
electrical equipment supplied to the machine will be the sole responsibility of the customer, to realize that the
rules of art and appropriate to their use.
5. The Manufacturer exempt from any possible liability in the event that the machine is done:
• misuse;
• use by untrained personnel;
• use contrary to the provisions of this Manual;
• use contrary to the legislation and legislation in force;
• use with defect primary power;
• Use with serious deficiencies in maintenance;

1.8 WARRANTY CONDITIONS


The guarantee is valid for 24 months from the date of testing.
It is limited to replacement or repair at the discretion of TECHNO D those parts having originally defective in material
or workmanship.
It is excluded from the warranty any transportation expenses, labor and travel expenses to repair or replacement.
WARRANTY DECADE COMPLETELY when the client has performed or done any repairs or modifications without
prior written authorization of TECHNO D or has caused damage due to negligence and non-compliance of the
technical documentation.
Are excluded from any form of guarantee total those particular machine subject to normal wear or who may still be
adversely affected by inexperience in the conduct of the operator.
For those details not built by TECHNO D such as electric motors, etc, is turned to the Customer the normal
guarantee that the same manufacturers grant related conditions.
The guarantee is invalid if the machine is used in a manner inconsistent with the guidelines and requirements of the
manufacturer.

CAPITOLO 2 - MACHINE OVERVIEW


The THERMOWELDER MOD. TOP SEAL is a machine, designed and built by the company TECHNO D S.R.L., Which
allows the welding of heat-sealable packs. (Coupled, Aluminates, Triplex, Co-extruded, slips of cardboard)
The Package preformed containing the product weighed or counted, is inserted into the slot and to the operator
command is welded by means of two pneumatic sealing bars. (The sealing bars will have to be brought to the
optimum temperature for the type of material used).
Within each solder are present electrical resistances and detection probes of the temperature.

WARNING

During its operation no one, outside of the trader, is to stand near the MACHINE intervene on the same

Before carrying out adjustment, maintenance and / or replacement is required to wait a certain period

CAPITOLO 3 - PROTECTIONS ADOPTED FOR SAFETY


3.1 PROTECTIONS MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL
The manufacturer has provided some protection so as to avoid contact, even accidental, of the operator with work
items that may be dangerous.

REF. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROTECTIONS ON THE MACHINE

The starts of the left and right heat sealer are closed by means of a sheet metal casing fixed to the
A
structure by means of screws locking the removal of which requires the use of special tools.

The working area of the heat sealer is equipped with a special sheet metal casing fixed to the
B
structure by means of screws locking the removal of which requires the use of special tools.

The cabinet present on the heat sealer is closed by means of a sheet metal casing fixed to the
C
structure of the cabinet via screws locking the removal of which requires the use of special tools.

WARNING

The protections were provided by the manufacturer in order to ensure the safety of the operator during
the course of their duties. During operation, the guards must not be removed for any reason.

CAPITOLO 4 - RESIDUAL RISKS


Despite the technical security taken during design and production, the car still has some risks that, by law, are
considered waste.
This chapter lists the standards to be met in order to avoid dangerous situations for the operator, the machine and
the environment related to these risks.

HANDLING AND INSTALLATION OF THE MACHINE

- Move operations, cleaning and maintenance of the CAR should be performed only by authorized personnel with
SWITCH IS IN THE OFF POSITION and
with the machine separate from any other power source.
- During handling of the machine, take great care to ensure that no one is in transit in handling, so as to avoid any
possibility of injury to personnel.

- Before positioning MACHINE, Check the overall dimensions taking into account the space required for a
possible connection with other machines.

GENERAL

- It absolutely PROHIBITED CIRCUMVENT THE SAFETY DEVICES (Housing, micro-switches, signs, etc..) During
operation of the MACHINE.
- During its operation no one, apart from the employee, is to stand near the MACHINE intervene on the same or
worse.
- During the replacement operation, cleaning, maintenance AND MANDATORY USE protective gloves in order to
avoid any risk of injury.
- The key for opening protections, must be kept by the Head of the MACHINE. Leave the key in a lock, would
entail the risk that an unauthorized person comes into contact with dangerous moving parts of the MACHINE.

RISK OF SCALDING

- Prior to working on parts of the CAR that are heated during processing (for maintenance, adjustment or
replacement ...), the operator has to wait long enough to allow the cooling of these parts. The operator must also
wear protective gloves.

DANGER OF CUTTING

- For operations that require contact with the cutting blade placed in the lower welding is mandatory to use
protective gloves.

RISK OF ELECTRIC

- The connection to the mains supply must be made by qualified personnel, according to current regulations.
Before connecting, make sure that the voltage and frequency match the type plate CE

CAPITOLO 5 - INTENDED USE AND NOT EXPECTED


The THERMOWELDER MOD. TOP SEAL machine is designed and built by the company TECHNO D S.R.L., Which
allows the welding of heat sealable packaging .
Any use other than that for which the Machine was conceived, is an abnormal condition and can cause damage to
the means of work and represent a serious hazard to the operator.
Subsequent actions:
- misuse of MACHINE,
- maintenance is not carried out by authorized personnel,
- removing labels of each type,
- Removing or tampering with safety devices or safety devices,
invalidate any liability of the manufacturer and can cause serious harm to people and property. Moreover, the
guarantee of the machine decays from the moment, the same is used outside the above limits.

NOTE

THIS MANUAL IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE MACHINE AND MUST ALWAYS ACCOMPANY EVEN IN CASE OF CHANGE
OF OWNERSHIP.

5.1 CONTRAINDICATIONS AND DANGERS OF UNINTENDED USES


1. Any work not mentioned previously, is considered an improper use of the MACHINE that could cause injury to
persons and / or property.
2. The Machine was not built for working in explosive environments, IT IS ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN TO USE THE
MACHINE IN THE ATMOSPHERE AT RISK OF EXPLOSION.

3. Is STRICTLY PROHIBITED TO USE the machine to weld components other than those for which it was built.
4. The Machine should not be used in wet environments or with production of powder; these conditions are
extremely harmful to the wired electrical equipment on board.
5. The paper types of packaging that may be used are heat sealable film laminated or coextruded. FOR THE USE
OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF PAPER, IT REQUIRES THE USER TO OBTAIN INFORMATION FROM THE MANUFACTURER ABOUT
THE POSSIBLE CONTRAINDICATIONS OR DANGERS.

6. All the elements of which is not described any adjustment or replacement in this manual, can be adjusted or
modified only by personnel of the machine manufacturer or qualified personnel working under the supervision
of the technicians of the Manufacturer. As for the components to trade, you follow the instructions in the
instruction manuals.
7. For any use not provided for the machine, or otherwise, for any work that you want to perform on it, it requires
the User to obtain information from the manufacturer about the possible contraindications or dangers arising
from improper use of the machine.
8. The position of the transmission mechanisms and working is adjusted at the factory of the manufacturer. The
sequence is tested several times before sending the machine to the User.
9. Is absolutely forbidden to modify the functional characteristics - performance of the machine and / or its main
components for the purpose of increasing the productive potential of the same.

CAPITOLO 7 - COMMISSIONING OF THE MACHINE


7.1 PREVENTIVE CONTROLS AFTER RECEIPT
Upon arrival of the machine at the plant installation, we recommend:
Check to see if with the machine were delivered all the documents of the law, such as:
- This instruction manual,
- Wiring diagrams,
- The declaration of conformity;
In the case in which it was required to supply a series of spare parts, check its presence;
In the case in which it was required to supply optional, check its presence.

7.2 CHECKING THE STATUS OF THE MACHINE


Following the document checks, in order to detect any damage caused by transportation, you should run a thorough
check on the conditions of the MACHINE and the integrity of delicate parts of which provide a non-exhaustive list:
- the control panel;
- the main switch;
- attacks in electrical circuits;
- protection devices (casing, switches, signs).

respective insurance companies.

WARNING

7.3 MACHINE INSTALLATION

The Machine must be installed in a place where they meet the optimal conditions for the welfare of the operators, in
such a way as to minimize the possibility of fatigue and allow, the operators themselves, to work in conditions of
maximum safety.
Any item unfavorable to the concentration skills of the operators, loud noises or poor lighting for example, will have
to be eliminated at the source.

WARNING
During the handling operations of the various component parts MACHINE. In addition to the operator
who controls the forklift / pallet truck, must be present at least one other person who checks that the road
ahead is clear of obstacles.

During the operations of handling and installation of the machine, personnel must wear protective
equipment such as safety shoes, gloves and helmet.

Verify that the ropes or chains for lifting, for moving the electronic proportioner, are sized to support the
weight and presenting no lacerations that could cause breakage.

CAPITOLO 8 - CONNECTING TO EXTERNAL SOURCES OF ENERGY


8.1 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
The electrical energy, for the operation of all the electrical components on the machine, must be provided to CABINET
by means of a cable (A), Located in the rear area of the machine, to be connected to the electrical factory general.
DURING THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION, RESPECT THE VALUES OF VOLTAGE AND FREQUENCY EQUAL TO WHAT IS STATED ON
THIS MANUAL AND ON THE CE LABEL.

THE DIAGRAM OF THE CIRCUIT IS ATTACHED TO THE DOCUMENTATION SUPPLIED WITH YOUR MACHINE.

WARNING

The connection of electricity and system grounding, should be done by qualified and experienced
personnel, in accordance with current regulations.

In case you were to replace the electrical connection cable, use ONLY cables having a plug.

Make the electrical connections using cables equipped with plug and not by directly connecting the wires
to external terminals.

The connection to the mains supply must be made according to current regulations. Before connecting,
make sure that the voltage and frequency match the type plate on the machine.

8.2 PNEUMATIC CONNECTION

Always on the electrical cabinet of the heat sealer is mounted a filter regulator unit for the management of air
pressure that supplies the various pneumatic components present on the machine.
A pneumatic hose suitable cross section, must be connected from the pneumatic plant of the quick coupling
connection (A) Filter reducer.
Through the pressure regulator (B) On the filter regulator, the operator must adjust the input air pressure at 6 bar:
the value can be read on the gauge (C) Of which is fitted with the device.

WARNING
All work connecting the machine to external sources of energy must be performed by qualified
personnel, in compliance with existing rules and under the supervision of the technicians of the
manufacturer.

For connection is necessary to use pneumatic hoses rated for pressures equal to or greater than

9.3 SWITCH
The Machine is provided with a switch (A) Located on its cabinet of the heat-sealing machine.

The switch can be rotated into two positions:


OFF: MACHINE is separated from the power supply and no element can be put into operation.
ON POSITION: the affected part of MACHINE is powered and can be started the cycle.

WARNING

The key of the cabinet must be kept by the Head of the CAR. Leave the key in the electrical leads to the
risk that the operating mode of the MACHINE being changed by unauthorized personnel or
inexperienced, causing danger to personnel in direct contact with it.

CAPITOLO 10 - USING THE MACHINE

10.1 OPERATION CYCLE


1. Rotate POSITION ON l 'SWITCH place on CABINET;

2. Set the working temperature of the solder;

3. Direct the package correctly in the welding area;

SP = Set Point, with the arrows "DOWN" and "UP" is going to set the desired SEALING temperature and
then press "Enter" to confirm.

Tr.t1 = Sealing Time, with the arrows "DOWN" and "UP" is going to set the desired welding time and then
press "Enter" to confirm.

SP 2 = Set Point, with the arrows "DOWN" and "UP" is going to set the desired PRINTING temperature and
then press "Enter" to confirm.

Once confirmed the various parameters to wait a few seconds to return to the main screen.

CAPITOLO 11 - MACHINE MAINTENANCE


In this chapter lists the operations of maintenance and adjustment to be made on the machine so as to ensure
efficient operation and longer life.
Please note that all maintenance, adjustment, replacement that were not covered in this Instruction Manual, SHALL
BE MADE ONLY BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL WITH THE MACHINE STOP CONDITION AND WITH THE MAIN SWITCH IN THE OFF
POSITION.

WARNING

The maintenance operations described in this chapter, shall be carried out ONLY by qualified and
authorized.

During the maintenance, replacement and adjustment, use personal protective equipment.

Spent fluids, such as fats, oils, process liquids, must be stored in metal containers airtight that should be
kept in a suitable environment. The same must be collected only by companies authorized for disposal.

Any cloths soaked with oil or grease should be stored in special containers for toxic materials and
disposed of in accordance with current regulations.

Changes and extraordinary maintenance other than maintenance and replacement are discussed in this
chapter, shall not be made without prior consultation with the Manufacturer, Which will give its approval or
less depending on the case, or propose the intervention of a qualified technician precisely. Keep in mind
that in fact incorrect interventions, may give rise to abnormal operating conditions, cause damage to the
machine and be a source of risk to the staff to it. The Manufacturer disclaims any responsibility, as it may
result from these operations.

11.1 SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE

DAILY MAINTENANCE
THOROUGHLY CLEAN ALL THE M ACHINEELIMINATING ANY RESIDUAL ELEMENT PRESENT, USING COMPRESSED AIR AND
EXCLUSIVELY WET CLOTH WITH APPROPRIATE PRODUCTS SUITABLE FOR CLEANING FOOD MACHINERY.

CLEAN THE SEALING HORIZONTAL WITH A STEEL BRUSH.

MONTHLY MAINTENANCE

Check the correct fixing of all the elements.

Check the condition and the perfect functioning of the whole framework and electrical components in the
machine.

ANNUAL MAINTENANCE

Make a thorough inspection of the tightness of all the screws and bolts and the integrity of every component of
the machine.

11.2 REPLACING THE RESISTANCES OF SEALING HORIZONTAL


To proceed to the replacement of the horizontal sealing, the operator will have to act in the following way:
1. Turn OFF THE MAIN SWITCH of the machine;
2. Unscrew the protection door sealer machine front;
3. Wait for that the elements are heated during the work cycle, to reach a temperature close to the ambient;
4. Remove from 'cabinet wires resistors;
5. Remove the upper or lower horizontal solder acting on the screws;
6. Remove the two horizontal sealing and resistance and replace them;
7. Replace the sealing and connect the new resistance 'cabinet;
8. Close the door of protection.

WARNING

The maintenance operations described in this paragraph shall be performed ONLY by qualified and
authorized.

During the maintenance operation, replacement and adjustment, use protection devices.

Maintenance / replacement described in this paragraph shall be made with the machine if you stop, with
electrical plug separate from.

CAPITOLO 12 - CHECK THE NOISE LEVEL


Considering:
• the constituent elements the Machine,
• the type of processing machine,
• the characteristics of the product being processed,

it is believed that the noise level of the THERMOWELDER MODEL TOP SEALDuring normal operation, which is under the
maximum allowed by law.

CAPITOLO 13 - MACHINE DEMOLITION


If it is intended, for any reason, dispose of the machine and demolish it, you must observe some basic rules to
safeguard the health and the environment in which we live:

- Sheaths, flexible ducts and components in plastic or non metal must be removed and disposed of separately.

- Electrical components, switches, power supplies, cards, etc., Will have to be disassembled in order to be
reused, if they are still in good condition, or if possible, reconditioned and recycled.

- The structure, however, and all metal parts of the machine will be removed and grouped by type of material. The
various parts thus obtained can then be demolished and merged to allow recycling of the material constituting
the original machine.

NOTE

The responsibility for re-use of parts of the machine, such as motors, pneumatic pistons, is solely the
User.

The manufacturer is in no way responsible for damage caused by the machine when it is used without
some components, or for use not expressly specified in this manual.

IT IS NECESSARY, COMPLY WITH THE REGULATIONS IN THE COUNTRY OF THE USER REGARDING THE DISPOSAL OF
WHICH IS PROVIDED WITH THE MACHINE.
