Subject : Manpower shortage in Financial Planning and Reporting department

Dear Sir

I would like to draw your attention to the challenges we are facing in Financial Planning and
Reporting department due to Manpower shortage. Currently, following important tasks are
undergoing in our department:
1. CORE initiative is in full swing. So far we have formed teams to handle 30 CORE projects.
2. There has been a reboot of our Zero Based Budgeting, Cost Management and Flight
Route profitability system implementation. This needs allocation of qualified resources
on full time basis not only for implementation for project but also for transfer of
knowledge once project is implemented.
3. we need to cater to management’s focus on monitoring and reporting of company’s
performance with respect to planned activities
4. We are responding to day to day queries and issues raised by various departments
5. We need to kick off Budget 2017 exercise very soon
The team we have at Financial Planning and reporting department is utterly insufficient to
handle as these tasks. I hereby request you to look into this matter and help us out.
As per our evaluations, we need work force at all levels. We need qualified people well versed
in cost and management accounting to handle matters independently on their own. We also
need at least 5 support staff e.g people from “Seventh Sense” to help us out in day to day
issues.
If you give permission, I can draft correspondence in this respect and send for your kind
perusal.
