NARRATIVE REPORT

January 17, 2020


STAR SCOUTS

The STAR Scouts Day Camp 2020 started with the registration of the 49 registered STAR
Scouts. The opening program started at exactly 12:30 in the afternoon.

After the opening program, at 12:30 to 1:45 in the afternoon the STAR Scouts were group
according to their respective Patrol and launched into different Base System of Learning called
“Stations”, each patrol shall accomplish their task in each station led by the senior scouts. There were
four stations:

STATION 1: First Aid (Cuts and Scratches)


STATION 2: Knot Tying
-Overhand Knot
-Square Knot
-Square Bow
STATION 3: Proper Folding of Personal Things
STATION 4: Introducing Native Games
-Chinese Garter
-Luksong Tinik
-Kadang-kadang

After they finished the different base system of learning, at 1:45 in the afternoon the STAR
Scout had their one of the most awaited part, the Game Time. The Troop Leaders prepared the materials
for the games like Sack Race, Tug of War, and Catching Ball. In which, the patrol groups got the chance
to show their tactics by giving all their efforts to win but only the strongest patrol group wins.

Shortly after playing series of games, the scouts had their afternoon break. Afterwards, the
STAR Scouts faced the Obstacle Courses that were composed of the bridge, the monkey bars, the rubber
tires, and the crawling part of the course. The Teachers come up to those courses to motivate the Scouts
and fully enjoy the outdoor activities and to physically challenge them by testing their speed and
endurance.
At 5 in the afternoon the STAR Scouts enjoyed their Early Dinner as they feast for a boodle fight
in the school’s basketball court. Banana leaves are used as covering for the table and the food is laid out
in piles and the STAR Scouts, Senior Scouts, Teachers and Administrators stand shoulder-to-shoulder
and eat together with their bare hands as a sign of camaraderie, brotherhood and equality.

And at exactly 6 in the evening, the Camp Fire Presentation started. They’re doing the yells and
song interpretations. A prayer and opening remarks marked the opening of the campfire, followed by the
presentation of each patrol. Their presentations were composed of yell and “Kids Tagalog Song”
interpretation. The Scoutmasters minute ends the presentation followed by the announcement of winners
for the games, yells and song interpretation, the most active scouts were also awarded, the best patrol
group and the best patrol Leader awardee. And the closing remarks given by our Institutional Scouting
Adviser, Mr. Rudolfo C. Floresta close the program.

For the dismissal, the STAR Scouts were assembled according to their sections and go to their
respective rooms.
