In 1992 in Phoenix, Arizona took place the prime murder judgement planted following
a DNA clue found on a tree. A woman was murdered, the police found a pager in
the crime scene. After checking the pager, they found a suspect. The
suspect admitted carrying the victim on his truck. Then, forensic analyst found seed
pods in his truck; also, there was a punched tree at the crime scene. Once the
investigator determines that the founded clues were not sufficing, he thought that
the mystery could be solved by finding the exact tree where the found seeds came
from. Through DNA analysis, a geneticist in Tucson, Arizona, induced that the DNA
found in the seeds was identical to the DNA of Palo Verde tree localized at the crime
scene. Finally, the case could be solved because all the clues matched.
In 1991 scientists with the technological help, identified and investigated the ancient
mummy of the Italian Alps, although with it, the elderly assassination enigma. At the
time of analysis, significant wounds were found in the mummy’s
body, and it reveals that he was murdered. After CT imaging was concluded, the
results helped to scientists to find clues about the life and the death of the mummy.
An arrowhead in the left shoulder shows that he was shot from behind. In addition, at
the time of his dead, he had a healing wound in his hand and a full stomach, sign
that maybe he thought was safe before the attack. After that, scientists could
recreate a possible crime scene and keep analyzing the evidence to have more
clues of this ancient murder.
