Dear Ms. Catalan,

I am writing this letter to show my interest in applying for the position of Geologist at your office
as advertised in the Civil Service official website page. I have been in the Earth Science
industry just recently, but my experience encompasses both geological mapping for fieldworks
and handling mining-related issues concerning mining and quarry laws in PENRO offices.
Moreover, I was also given the opportunity to assist in constructing EGGAR reports for private
companies.

My greatest asset lies with my capability of utilizing modern GIS programs such as ARCGIS,
QGIS, GlobalMapper and more. In addition, I am very versatile when it comes to different
geological software for example I am very proficient in HECRAS and FlowR which allows the
construction of a more data-driven landslide susceptibility maps as well as formulating a 1D-
2D flood modelling.

I am very interested to be a geologist at your office and is willing to relocate near the office if
given the chance as I am very passionate about this job. I pray that you will be able to give me
the opportunity to be a part of a big Earth Science industry and I am very confident that my
skills honed from dedicated years of learning will surely contribute to your office.
