Two examples of methods to minimize the water use are as follows

1-Check for leaks in pipes, hoses faucet-Leakage of water through pipes and hoses
can cause lot of loss to the water and increase the use of water so it required to stop
these leakages by checking regularly for the leakage. It can be done by the municipality
and as far as possible for the household individual and should inform the municipality
for the same so as they take immediate action to stop leakage. The different devices
called pipe appurtenances (gate valve, reflux valve, drain valve etc.) should be used to
prevent leakages.

2-Use of water saving devices-Water saving devices such as shower heads of low
volume and high pressure, automatic shutoff nozzle, low-volume flush toilets ,grey
water diverter, dual-flush converter rainwater tank and tank bags can help to reduce per
capita demand of household demand by as much as 20%.
