Content Standard: The learners demonstrate an understanding of concepts and principles in setting up computer
networks.
Performance Standard: The learners shall be able to set up computer networks based established procedures
and system requirements for hardware.
I. OBJECTIVE:
LO 3: Set router/Wi-fi/wireless access point/repeater configuration
3.3 Configure WAN in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and network design
(TLE_IACSS9- 12SUCN-If-j-IIae-35), Sub-task: Discuss on WAN configuration.
II. CONTENT AND MATERIAL
A. TOPIC
Wide area network (WAN) port configuration
B. MATERIAL
Laptop, LCD Projector, pdf format, Ethernet cable and a system unit

III. PROCEDURES
A. REVIEW/DRILL
5 minutes
What did you know about the Local area network (LAN) port configuration?
B. MOTIVATION
Have you seen on how the WAN configuration?
C. ACTIVITY
The teacher will flash a video a film showing in regards to the WAN configuration.
The student will write down the information that they have to get.
They have to know the difference between the LAN and the WAN network.
D. ANALYSIS
1. How the WAN work in the network?
2. What is the difference between the LAN and WAN to the other network?
E. ABSTRACTION
1. Identify how the WAN network does work to the connection.
2. Know the strategies in WAN configuration.
F. VALUING
The student will learn the concept of WAN networking.
G. APPLICATION
Group/ Collaboration
The student will prepare the following provided by the teacher.
1. Wireless Router 4. System unit
2. Switch 5. Internet connection
3. Ethernet cable
The learner will set a WAN configuration using router and switch.
They have to test if the network configured and accessible to each other.
They have to connect to the network outside through internet connection.
IV. EVALUATION/ASSESSMENT
Rubric:
Collaboration = 10 points
Safety precaution = 10 points
Students will set the Connectivity = 10 points
30 = points Very Excellent
WAN configuration
20 <= points Average
10 <= points Poor
V. ASSIGNMENT
Study in advance about the Configuration procedure for  Routers – managed and unmanaged.
Search in the internet or any references.
