PW TTh 5:30-7:00 “THE MEANING OF WORSHIP” Pastor Danilo

R. Endraga

1. What did I learn from this topic?

Worship is a response. Worship sees God as our primary audience whom we believe sees us as
we reach out to praise Him. It is a holistic experience. It is complete in a sense that our entire
being reaches out to God. It is a human and divine interaction. God sees and responds to worship,
the worshippers knows that God is there and bask in his presence. People often express worship
in a wrong way and these must be pointed out for us to truly know the real essence of worship. It
is a communion between God and us. It connects us to Him and strengthens our relationship.

2. How did it make an impact to me?

I found out that worship is more than just singing and hearing God’s message. For me it is giving
honor and respect to the the One who made me. I’ve always seen worship as the priority every
Christian must have. When we worship, we show reverence and honor to our Maker. Worship is
very important and God even set aside a day for us to focus on Him. There is no one that deserves
worship more than our Maker. “Worship is not only the predominant activity of the believers– it
is even the preoccupation in heaven.” When we worship we must focus on Him. Since worship is
personalized, we must focus on our personal relationship with Him.

3. How will I apply it in my personal life?

I am one of the people who have always been accustomed to worship services since I was young.
Because of this, it’s becoming like a habit and the real essence of worship is slowly fading while I
was growing up. Knowing a lot of things about worship is really important to all Christians. What
we think about time we spend with Him reflects our relationship with Him. We must worship
Him practically, not physically. I know that going to church every Sabbath and worshipping Him
day and night does not necessarily mean we are REALLY worshipping Him mentally. We must
worship Him practically. We must seek a new experience of grace, love and awesomeness of
God. Importantly, when we worship Him, it must be intentional.
