CHAPTER IV

PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS, AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents the project design and project capabilities and

limitations. It provides the results and discussions that will make the readers

better grasp and understand the researchers’ study.

I. Manual System

The flowchart of the existing system is shown in Figure 3. This shows how

the management processes their sales and inventory using the manual system.

To know the number of consumed items and the remaining stocks, they use the

same process on both sales and inventory but they do it in a separate way. In

using this kind of system, the owner and the manager find it more difficult to

know the exact number of stocks and sales because of the problems they

encounter like data inconsistency and this affects the transactions of the

business.

Figure 4: Flow Chart of Sales and Inventory System

The flowchart of the system is shown in Figure 4. Managing inventory is

exclusive to the spa owner. If the user is the owner, the owner can view or

proceed to the sales and the inventory but if it is not the user can only proceed to

the billing system.

The owner and manager can access the system using their username and

password. The owner can manage inventory and enter data for sales process

while the manager is limited to the sales process.

The user inputs username and data. The user database is responsible for

checking if the user’s input is correct. As the customer gives the details of the

service, the user will check it on the service database. The customer can also

book for an appointment. After the service is done, the customer will now pay

and the user will input it in the sales database and save it for the report.
