Week 6– Activity 1
LET US START YOUR BACKYARD GARDEN
Direction: Follow the steps for your backyard garden:

1. Consider what to plant (crop or vegetable).


2. Pick the correct spot in your place.
3. Clear the ground by getting the weeds and create a plant box.
4. Improve the soil by adding compost, decayed leaves or old manure.
5. Work the soil by cultivating it and start digging for your plant/seedlings.
6. Pick you plant.
7. Start planting.
8. Water at the right time. Seedlings should never be allowed to dry out, so
water daily. Transplants also need frequent watering (every other day or so)
until their roots become established.
9. Monitor and maintain your garden.
