Note:
The student should use his or her own A4/fullscape/register sized ruled or unruled papers from both
sides to write the answers.

Semester, Branch, Enroll. No., Subject code and Date.

b) Student should write question number clearly on all pages.

c) Students should write enroll. No. and page no on each page

d) Student should take pictures of the entire answer sheet as one JPEG convert it into PDF
file and should submit it to Moodle/Google Classroom. The PDF file must be renamed with
his/her enrollment number only.

Q1. Give at least two examples in which black-box testing might give the impression that
“everything’s OK,” while white-box tests might uncover an error. Give at least two examples in

Q2. You have been appointed a software project manager for a company that services the genetic
engineering world. Your job is to manage the development of a new software product that will
accelerate the pace of gene typing. The work is R&D oriented, but the goal is to produce a product
within the next year. What team structure would you choose and why? What software process
model(s) would you choose and why? Explain in detail. [5 marks]

Q3. Team A found 342 errors during the software engineering process prior to release. Team B
found 184 errors. What additional measures would have to be made for projects A and B to
determine which of the teams eliminated errors more efficiently? What metrics would you propose
to help in making the determination? Explain in detail. [5 Marks]

Q4. A software company like IBM will be developed a software for the State bank of India (SBI),
the deadline of the software has been given by the company is 1 year. Which model we should use
to develop such type of software within one year and why? Explain in detail. [5 marks]
