FEDERAL BANK CAMPUS

RECRUITMENT PROGRAMME –
2012-2013

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE POST OF PROBATIONARY OFFICERS

1. Final year / semester students of MBA only are eligible for the Campus
Recruitment Process.

2. Should have obtained minimum 60% marks for SSC or equivalent exam
& Plus 2 or equivalent exam, 60% marks for graduation.

3. Shall secure the following percentage of marks in the following


qualifying examinations.

MBA – 55%

4. Non-attainment of minimum marks will disqualify the candidate from the


final selection.

5. Should have cleared all papers of the previous years/ semesters of the
qualifying examination as on the date of campus process conducted by
the Bank.

6. Candidates shall not exceed 26 years of age as on 01.11.2012.

7. Minimum percentage of marks prescribed for the examinations is not


allowed to be rounded off. (For example: a candidate who secured only
59.99% of marks will not be permitted to appear for the campus process
in case the minimum stipulated percentage is 60%)
Job Description of Probationary Officers

a) Initially the officer will be on probation for a period of 2 years. He should have
customer service orientation, better communication skill & marketing skill. He
should learn basic banking and acquire marketing skill.

b) The role of the officer will be originating and approving banking transactions. After a
period of one year, he will be put in supervisory role for approving banking
transactions.

c) The role of the officer will gradually evolve to the level of achieving the targets fixed
for each officer in respect of deposits, advances, profit, other income etc. The
officer should acquire the skills of a team leader keeping good rapport with the
existing and potential customer base of the Bank.

d) Gain in-depth understanding of various products of bank– Credit/ loans, deposits,


cash management, foreign exchange & NRI products, etc and an awareness of the
latest developments in banking and financial sector.

e) Gain in-depth understanding of various customer bases of bank – corporate, retail,


HNIs, SME etc.

f) Swift execution of day-to-day banking transactions by using bank’s core software.

g) Adhere and comply to various audit & quality norms/standards of the bank.

h) Learn to do people management – could manage a team as one grows in the


system.

i) During the first year of probation, the Probationary Officers are expected to develop
expertise in the assigned roles and responsibilities. On completion of the first year
of probation, the Probationary Officers should be fully equipped to take up all
responsibilities and assignments as applicable to regular Officers in Scale I.

j) The candidates selected will be posted to any branches / offices of the Bank as per
administrative requirement.
