The Enhanced Basic Education Act Of 7013 of Republic Act 10533, the DepEd
was tasked to implement the K-12 Program. As the K-12 Curriculum

program was implemented, two more years was added in high school which is the
Senior High School.

According to Department of Education (DepEd) order no. 40 series of 2015


“Work immersion refers to the part of Senior High School (SHS) curriculum consisting of
80 hours of hands-on experience or work stimulation of grade 11 and 12 students will
undergo to expose them to the actual workplace setting and to enrich the competencies
provided by the school under the supervision of the school head and the designated
personnel of the partner “. The amount of experience that the students will gain in their
work immersion would greatly help them in the future.
The researcher used descriptive design that used to describe characteristic of a
population that is being studied and involves gathering data that describes event. The
population size is 171 Grade 12 students and the sample size of this study is 50. The
researchers collected the sample size from the population using the Slovin’s formula.
The researchers used survey questionnaire to gather the information.
The selected 50 students of Senior High School at Tandang Sora Integrataed
School is distributed in terms of their age, the age of 17 with the total number of 25 and
has a percentage of 50%, the age of 18 with the total number of 20 and has a
percentage of 40%, the age of 19 with the total number of 4 and has a percentage of
8%. However, the age of 16 with the total number of 1 and has a percentage of 2%. The
students gained confidence because of Work Immersion has a weighted mean of 3.22,
the respondents become aware of their surroundings has a weighted mean of 4.54 and
lastly the respondents can effectively lead a team has a weighted mean of 2.98.
