- Wear approved safety ear plugs when working close enough to drill rig.
- When necessary, wear appropriate PPE to protect from dust for inhalation
hazard.
- Avoid moving parts of machinery. Keep fingers, hands, and arms away from
rotating drill head near the top (connection to drive) or near the bottom (hole
entrance).
- Keep all drill bits secured when not in use, to prevent rolling off the rig or other
movement.
- Stand clear as drill pipe is lowered into rack by cable; pipes come down fast and
could make contact with a person’s head, body or hand.
- Personnel on the ground should keep away from the drill rig unless they are
required for the task. Drillers and helpers should work together to lift and carry
heavy augers, drill pipe.
- Do not approach heavy equipment without first establishing eye contact with the
operator.

GENERAL REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
- Ensure that all heavy machinery have audible back-up signals and never work
alone when operating heavy machinery.
- Ensure first aid facility will be available.
1. Wear Appropriate PPE
2. Make sure that No ignition sources present (e.g., cigarette smoking)
3. Avoid contact of hands with any portion of the face.
- Ensure proper wind up and housekeeping of the work site.
- All equipment’s and machineries shall be parked in a safe place after completion
of the daily work activity.
- Equipment parked area shall be barricaded and placed with caution signage.
- All waste and spillages shall be removed and disposed as per company waste
management procedure
- Be aware of the snakes, scorpions and other dangerous or poisonous
insects and animals at work site.
- Do no feed or be friend with stray animals / wild life and make sure the
team always stay together.
- Ensure buddy system is implemented.
- Take rest at designated rest shelters.

- Conduct HSE induction.

- Conduct Tool Box Talk for the employees engaged in the work about the hazards associated with the drilling work and review the JSA with the crews.
- Comply with KNPC Safety Rules & Regulations.
- Use the basic PPE (H2s Gas Monitor, Helmet, Goggles, Coverall and Safety Shoe) while entering in the work location. Specific PPEs shall be used during the execution of
respective work activities.
- Regularly remove the waste from the work location, segregate them as Hazardous & Non-Hazardous and dispose it accordingly as per KNPC Safety Rules.
