In the Philippines, Bicol region is known for its magnificent arts especially in line with the

production or creation of a variety of traditional handicrafts. There are lots of unique

handicrafts here in Bicol region, just like handicrafts made of sweetgrass, baskets and other

handicrafts made of forest vines, and many more. Referring to its quality, it is not inferior to

other products because it is of high-quality, and the design was magnificent because the

artisan’s skill was reflected in the product itself. Furthermore, in terms of the production, there

has been an increase on the production if we are going to compare it from before. The

government had already helped through the distribution of assistance and monetary support to

the production of handicrafts here in Bicol just to increase its production and to promote an

ecofriendly way of creating a product. Due to the increase in the production and high-quality

handicrafts of Bicol region, some of these are exported and offered to other countries just like

the handicrafts made up of abaca.
