What is an eco yurt? A yurt is a portable dwelling traditionally used by nomadic people across Asia.It
is a kind of circular domed tent.

Are they comfortable?  If you expect our yurts to be primitive, you will be surprised.

Look at the interior in the photo below.

As you can see, our yurts are cosy, warm and comfortable. The yurts are heated by a central stove and
retain their heat even in the coldest weather.Traditional decoration and furniture make our yurts
beautiful and cosy.A microwave and a fridge in each yurt will make your stay very comfortable.Shower
and washing facilities are located a close distance from the yurts and are kept heated at all times
during the cooler times of the year.

What if it rains? You might ask,’What will I do if it rains?’

The answer is simple. You can relax and keep dry, because our yurts are completely watertight. You
won’t get wet if it rains!

How many people does a yurt cater for?  If you want to come with friends, you can share one of our
larger yurts which sleep 7 people.

What about location? If you want to discover the delights of France, Spain or Britain, you will find a
number of eco yurt villages in the middle of the beatiful countryside in each of these countries.

Each eco yurt village is in a peaceful green location but within easy reach of many local attractions.

So, why not book now and make your dreams come true!

Lesson Plan

Unusual Holiday Homes

Level: Pre-Intermediate Level

Grammar Structure: First Conditional

The  lesson aims :

Skills :To develop the skills of reading for gist and reading for details in a holiday brochure.

Grammar :To understand the use of first conditional statements in an athentic context.

Procedure :

1. Introduction (5 min)

 I write the word ‘Yurt’ on the board. I tell my students what do they imagine
when they think about it. At the end, I find out which student guessed
correctly first.
 Then i ask my students to brainstorm different homes that they can stay for
holiday. After they prepare some options students can compare theirs with
other students’.

2. Presentation (15 min)

 After making students read the text given, then I focus on grammar and
vocabulary. I explain the meaning of the text and vocabulary then the
connection between grammar structure ( First Conditionals) and the topic. I
make sure students have some understanding of the material they just learned,
as well as an understanding of its meaning and proper use.

3. Practice (10 min)

 This practise stage is where I want my students to get involved. Using the First
Conditional structure i will give them the first part of a conditional then want
them to complete them. So for example, i can ask “ If my mom is in a bad
mood , …..” .

4. Production (10 min)

 For this stage i will almost have no help to students. As a last activity i use
“Chain Stories” to make my students have fun while they are doing it. One
student says a future plan then the other students predicts a consequence of that.
For instance, “ I will join Korean Club.”

-If you join Korean Club, you will understand what they say in Korean dramas.

-If you understand what they say in Korean Dramas, you will watch them
without English subtitles.

-If you watch Korean dramas without English subtitles, your Korean will
improve etc.
