Perception about the approach of the course Race and English

In this class hope to learn about how as language teachers we have to bring some order to the
apparent randomness of culture for students and ourselves, making culture accessible. All this
process through 3 different approaches.

1) CULTURA EXPERIENCE:
 the cultural activities in which the students engage different content
 the learning context
 the relationship the teachers develops with the student.
2) CULTURAL KNOWLEDGE:
 the students need to know relevant information about the culture of the language that
they are learning, also being able of acquire cultural practices and behaviors, actions,
skills etc. understanding the fundamental culture perspective and perceptions ,
values, and attitudes.
3) THE EXPERIMENTAL LEARNING CYCLE:
 Concrete experiences where the student participates on the experiences and Is
engaged with some aptitudes
 Reflective observation, the learner pauses to reflect what happened in order to
describe it , staying with the facts of the experience
 Abstract conceptualization where students assign meanings to the experiences, and
finally the Active experimentation through devise strategies with their personal
learning goals.
