The K to 12 Program covers Kindergarten and 12 years of basic education to provide

enough time for the students to master concepts and skills, develop lifelong learners, and prepare
graduates for tertiary education, middle-level skills development, employment, and
entrepreneurship. The said program aims to produce globally competitive individuals and to
improve quality of life of our country as a whole.

The said program is designed to enable graduates to join the work force right after high
school by enrolling to the track they aimed to take and to prepare themselves for those who want
to go on higher education. It serves as a stepping stone to make the learners competitive globally.
It is a start for a brighter future, and one way to make a living. All in all, the enhanced K-12
curriculum is designed to provide a holistic education for all.

In connection with this, Bato National High School- Baviera Extension conducted the Career
Guidance Celebration which started last August 2. On that day we conducted a RIASIC survey
and NCAE interpretation. The guidance designate had a talk to motivate them in pursuing their
studies. Moreover, motivational videos were presented to touch the hearts of the students. While
the Culmination Activity was celebrated last August 5, 2019 Monday at 8:00 am held at the
school.

During the culmination activity, the opening remarks was given by the guidance designate
and the program was also warmed and graced by the message of Sir Ruel E. Magno, the
Teacher-in-Charge. His message encouraged and inspired everyone to pursue their ambitions and
dreams.

Ms. Glydel Apelacio, the English Club President, and Ms. Alian Ropecio, the SSG Auditor,
were the Masters of Ceremony. The program started on time but the invited guest was not able to
attend due to inclement weather condition on that day. We proceeded to our next activity such as
the presentation of the “Professional Attire” by the grade 7-10. This is to stimulate and develop

their decision – making skills and help students realize the value of self – awareness in the
process of choosing a Senior High School track by making them feel as if they professionals
already. The “Professional Attire Contest” selected 3 female students and 3 male students who
shine the most during their presentation. The judges were the Teacher-in-Charge and all of the
teachers in the school.

The program then conducted the Career Trivia Game. This is to introduce the different
professions and their job descriptions in a very exciting manner. After the Career Trivia Game,
Spelling Contest followed. It was facilitated by the English Club Officers and SSG Officers. The
participants were the selected students from grades 7-10.

One of the highlights of the Culmination Activity was the “Show me What you Got” contest
wherein the students will showcase their talents. The contestants enthusiastically demonstrate
their talents and the crowd undeniably enjoy watching them. After the exhibition of talents,
hephep hooray was played by the students while waiting for the results.

In every contest, prices were provided. This is possible with the help of the English Club
Officers and SSG Club Officers who were dedicated in soliciting money for the program.

Lastly, the culmination activity had a powder party to symbolize the energy of blessing as
well as following our heart desire and purpose.
