I.OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards
The learners demonstrate an understanding of the different regions of the
electromagnetic spectrum

B. Performance Standards

C. Learning At the end of the lesson , cite examples of practical applications of different regions
Competencies/Objectives of EM waves such as the use of radiowaves in telecommunication
 Describe how radiowaves are generated, transmitted, and received
 Name the parts of transmitter and receiever then give the function of each
part

IV. PROCEDURES What method
did you use?
A. ELICIT How were you able to receive your favorite radio programs?
Why those radio programs received clearly and separately?

B. ENGAGE

.
How will you interpret the diagram?
C.EXPLORE
Activity 1 : Reading : Elemend of Radio Communication from Physics book
pp.395-398

Activity 2: Video presentation

D. EXPLAIN Guide Questions:

1.Describe how radio waves are generated ,transmitted and received in radio
communication system.
2.What are the parts and functions of radio communication system?
Generalization:

The microphone (has an electromagnet as main component), transforms sound waves

into electrical signals . These signals are fed to the modulator. At the same time , an
E. ELABORATE oscillator circuit generates the fixed frequency carrier waves, which are also fed to the
modulator .The modulator puts out the modulated carrier wave.
The modulated carrier wave is then sent to the amplifier .The amplifier increases the
energy carried by the wave . The amplified modulated carrier wave is then sent to the
broadcast antennae . The changing current in the antenna generates radio waves that
travel into space.

Application:
What are the local radio stations in Batangas Province do you know?

F. EVALUATE
Microphone : AF signals : RF signals
VHF : Medium and High Frequency waves

1.used for broadcasting local radio station

2-3 . In radio stations, sound is converted by _________into patterns of electric current
variations called _______
4.provide a higher quality broadcasting including stereo sound
5. it can be modulated to match the electronic signal

G.EXTEND What are microwaves?

Give the practical applications of mirowaves.

V.REMARKS

evaluation
Did the remedial lesson work? No of
learners who have caught up with the
lesson.
Which of my teaching strategies worked
well? Why did these work?

What innovations or localized materials

did I use/discover which I wish to share
with other teachers?
No of learners who require additional
activities for remediation
No. of learners who continue to require
for the remediation
