Aspirants,
With reference to your application for admission to Ph.D. program, kindly appear for the written Test
& Interview scheduled on 12th July 2020. The details are given below:

Mode of examination Online through LMS

Login Time : 9.30 AM
Written Exam Time : 10.00 AM
Interview : 09.30 AM for the candidates exempted from written test
: 01.00 PM for the candidates appearing in written test

General Guidelines for Ph.D. Entrance Test

1. Written test will be objective types & conducted online in two slots each of one hour, followed by
interview.
a) Test I - Research Methodology 10.00 am to 11.00 am
b) Test II - Relevant Discipline 11.30 am to 12.30 pm
2. The Written Test will comprise of 50 questions each for Test I & Test II.
3. The Entrance Test will be a qualifying test for admission to Ph.D. programme. No Negative Marking will
be followed.
4. Qualifying in the Entrance Test shall not be considered as confirmation of admission to Ph.D.
programme.
5. All the candidates are required to install Safe Exam Browser (SOP is attached).
6. Electronic Gadgets are strictly prohibited during the examination. No candidates are allowed to use
mobile phones, smart watches or any other electronic device during the examinations.
7. If any candidate is found using any malpractices / unfair means, he/she will become ineligible for the
admission in Ph.D. Programme.
8. All candidates are required to login at 9.30 AM on 12th July 2020.
9. All candidates are advised to login 30 minutes prior to the start of examination.
10. Written exam shall start at 10.00 AM. Late logins shall not be allowed at any condition.
11. In any case no extra time will be given for the exam.
12. Interview will be conducted online through Microsoft Team Platform.
13. Candidates are required to install Microsoft Team from (https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/microsoft-
365/microsoft-teams/download-app)
14. Interview for the candidates exempted from written examination (PET) will start at 09.30 AM.
15. Candidates who are exempted from written exams have to produce their supporting documents in
original and photocopy as prescribed in Ph.D. rules and regulations on Galgotias University Website.
16. University reserves all the rights to set the cut off criteria in online written examination to appear for the
interview.

Step1. Search on google for Safe Exam Browser

Step2. Download Safe Exam Browser

Step3. Install Safe exam Browser

Step4. Click on Next Button for proceed

Step5. Accept license Agreement
Step6. Click on Install
Step7. Click on Finish

Step8. Search for SEB Config Tool and enter

Step9. Put url http://lms.galgotiasuniversity.edu.in and save by
clicking cross button

Step10. Click on Safe Exam browser for launch a test

 Students Guide for Attempting PhD Entrance exam
Step1. After login with safe exam browser enter the login credentials shared by the
University

Step2. Students have to login with their login credentials

Step3. Student have to click on the course exam in which he have to appear
in PhD Entrance exam.

Step4. Student have to click on Exam

Step5. After clicking on exam, student have to click on Attempt Quiz button

Step6. After clicking, student have to start the attempt

Step7. Student can start attempting the exam

Step8. After exam complete, student have to click on submit all and finish
button
Step9. Click on submit all and finish button to end the exam.

Step10. Click on back to the course button.

 INSTRUCTIONS FOR FOR INTERVIEW ON MICROSOFT TEAM

1. Interview for the exempted candidates shall start form 9.30 AM and for other
candidates interview shall start at 1.30 PM on 12th July.

2. All interviews will be conducted through Microsoft Team.

3. All candidates please make necessary arrangements and be ready for an online
meeting through Microsoft Team with necessary original documents. Exempted
candidates have to show the original certificates based on which they get
exemption in the starting of the interview to the panel.

4. All candidates shall download the team from following link and install on PC

5. The meeting link for the interview will be shared with you through email by
the panel.
