Self- Report

“You dream is precious so just believe in yourself”, nice effective words support my aim to

put a broader perspective in “ my personal journey of learning and obtaining a SL”

My adventurous journey of learning or obtaining SL, I set my goal and keep my eyes always

on it, I believe in myself, I don't feel frustrating  keep  going, I don't lose my motivation to

continue and I don't be hurry to learn fast they are the best ways to learn English. As an Arabic

person my mother tongue is Arabic. I am fond on English language since I was a kid, I was one

fan of English movies. This is which burns my flame to speak like them. So, after secondary

school I studied English at an institute in Taiz for two years however I couldn't learn every thing

about the language. When I moved out of my country to Saudi Arabia I learned a lot of things

that develop my level in English.

As a beginner, the first thing that I need to be able to speak English is Listening. Listening

is the important key to speak. At the first, it seems to be difficult for me, but I was not frustrated

just I attempted to take a step and be confident on myself even if I did not understand at first time

or second, I just keep listening. Memorizing words is another method I use as a way to learn

English, I make a notebook for myself just for new English words  and under every word I make

a sentence and if the word has various meaning I make various sentences for it. Then I review

those words and sentences from my notebook once a day.

 My difficulties with English. I answered honestly by stating that “ Learning English is

difficult for me” for I do not find any one who can  speak with me in English. As a result I can
not practice what I had learned however now it's different.  "I always have myself so now I can

learn easily, and I can practice with myself”.

I mentioned that it is possible to teach myself a language. By watching movies in English. I

know a lot of people who can improve their English by watching movies. In addition , I did not

want be frustrated that is why I did not listen to people who try to get me down. I think only in

language that I am trying to learn. Also Internet is a very tool for me to learn English. Now I can

learn English at home by internet. It can be very helpful for me and make me speak as a native.

For instance; YouTube is very useful when I followed channels, they provided me with videos

and courses in English. Now the social networks like Youtube, Facebook and Instagram  are

very beneficial tools for learning English or any other languages you want to learn it.

I really like English because the teachers have a great influence on me. They are friendly and

funny. I was very “fortunate with teachers” for  they were genius and very helpful. Also, they are

always support me to learn more and more in order to be the best. Her teachers also keep her

going forward therefore I really grateful to them and I hopes I can thank them enough for all

things that they have done for her .

By learning English Khadega will able to do a lot of things in the future. I wants to travel to

foreign countries and knows their different cultures. I hopes that will come true. What is

important is to mention is that I said “I will be able to teach other people to speak English

fluently as my teachers learn me”. Finally I said that I likes to read a lot, so with English I can

read more of the  different books which can help her to widen her mind. Since in education

nowadays most of the books that students have are in English and if they want to read more
about them they will see most of the books that are written in English language. That’s what

makes learning that language is very essential.

To sum up, Indeed, there are some people who are not good  at learning languages, but they

are good at other things or subjects. It depends on people who want to learn and like these

languages. Also, the teacher who teach them. If they don't like the teacher they can not get any

benefit. So you can learn what you like and when you find someone who teaches you in a good

way that’s  will help you to be interesting with learning languages. Don't worry you will be good

to get benefit. Believe me  just take it easy and it will be easy for you .
