ASSIGNMENT NO.1 INDIVIDUAL

The legal protection to the owner of an original work is

called the copyright. The Philippine Copyright law is enshrined in
Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines or the Republic Act
No. 8293. It also protects patents, trademarks and other forms of
intellectual property.
We had encountered many situations that we violate this
law. For example, when we photocopy a certain parts or the whole
book itself in order to have the own information and the activities
and exercises in the book. It is very common on the students and
teachers in case if majority are cannot afford the original book and
they need to answer the activities. Using and printing the pictures in
Pinterest, Facebook or Google in able to comply on assignments and
projects. Downloading movies that was on Facebook for free
because it was so pricy to go to the cinema to watch for just one
movie.
In order to avoid these violations we must include the
author or creator in the references or make citations to recognize
them. The copy pasting is also a subject to copyright so we should
paraphrase the certain sentences that we want to get to avoid
plagiarism. About the movie thing, we can save some money in able
to afford the fees in cinema or we can watch the movies on licensed
and reliable websites like NetFlix, iWanTv etc. to avoid watching
the pirated movies.
