Read the story below and answer the questions that follow.
It was Mother’s Day. David and May wanted to surprise their
mother. They woke up early in the morning and did all the housework
themselves. David washed the cloths and hung them on the clothes line
to dry. May mopped the floor and dusted the shelves.
When they had finished doing the housework, they prepared
toast, fried eggs and orange juice for breakfast. Then, they woke their
parents up. Their parents were surprised and happy to see the breakfast
the children has prepared. After breakfast, David wiped the dining table
while May washed the dishes.
Later, David and May gave their mother a bouquet of flowers and
a greetings card that they made themselves. They thanked their mother
for working so hard to take care of them. Their mother was very happy.
She hugged David and May lovingly.
