[ CAUTION ]

 Do not unplug power cable or USB during update software.

 After update, the monitor will be reset automatically.
 We strongly recommend to do “in stop” after updating.
 During updating, all inputs of remote control and local key are not
operated.
 If the download process is stopped, you'd better reduce software
file's length of name.(within 40 characters)
 If you can see normal on screen, update is success.
(If you see black screen, stop at LG logo, can not turn on power,
update was failed)

Step 1
- Make ‘LG_MONITOR’ folder in the USB drive.

Step 2
- Copy two software files to the folder(LG_MONITOR).
- The Monitor system searches only the ‘LG_MONITOR’ folder to find the download files.
- If there are many other files in the folder, it takes a long time to find the download file.
Update file naming rile

• Software update file(main IC) name(One of below files)

• Software update file(MICOM) name(One of below files)

- Connect the USB device to the USB port on the Signage.

Step 4
- Auto update Pop up menu (Do not update in this menu)
- Select Cancel or press Exit button if it display
Monitor S/W update window automatically.

- Enter a expert update menu.

- Update the NAND flash file first.

- Get into Software Update(Expert) menu again after NAND flash update.
- Press red button to select MICOM Update Option and Select MICOM update file.

Step 3 (User Mode)

- Connect the USB device to the USB port on the Signage.
- If the Monitor finds the same model name and new version file,
it will display this message and start the upgrade automatically.

Step 4 (User Mode)

- Running USB Software Update
- Select [Start] Button in “[Figure] Software Update” and press [OK] key.
Then the USB Software Update starts as below.
- Copying the update file from the USB memory stick to
the Monitor System memory
- The Monitor display this progressive message to update new S/W
to Flash memory

- Connect the USB device to the USB port on the Signage.

Step 4 (Expert Mode)

- Enter a expert update menu.

Step 5 (Expert Mode)

- Select download filed that you want to update.

Forced update Option

Pressing color key (RED/GREEN) will update External MICOM and SPI Boot regardless of version.

 Caution
• When you update MICOM, the progress bar point 0%
until finish.
• MICOM update will be taken 2~3min(without any notice)

Step 6 (Expert Mode)

- Select epk file and Press OK button.
- Copying the update file from the USB memory stick to the Monitor System memory.
- The Monitor display this progressive message to update new S/W to Flash memory.
