According to Sheree
Layne Mercado, a grade
8 participant, said that it
was difficult and nerve-
racking because the
questions are from the
future topics and was
hard to understand as the
lessons should be taught
by teachers.
”It was hard because as
a participant, you need to
teach and understand the
lessons by yourself, also
the level of the topics is
higher than the level of
our current year,” she said.
Mercado said that
competing in the quiz
bee helped her to
improve her knowledge
for many subjects as she
participated in two quiz

Grade 9 competitor, said
that participating in the
quiz bee really benefit you
as a top student or even
not.

I will grow old and weary as we all will,

It is enough for a life to be lived.
I will live my life and fulfill the roles of the gift of
subjectivity.
I will learn to love so many things and people
every day,
I will bask in the warmth of sunlight,
I will feel happiness, anger, sorrow and so much
more.
I will feel all these things even when I am so small
and insignificant!
Life will continue to happen whatever we make of
it.
We will fall, and find darkness,
We will feel like giving up and we will fear to try.
We will forget and be forgotten, and it will all be
inevitable.
Yet even in this complex entanglement, life will be
constant.
Things will be ordinary, and we will be in eternal
boredom.

With them I have endured challenges and felt joy
And with I they did the same.
Why sulk over my worth to the expanse of the
universe,
When I am cherished and irreplaceable here?
The grandeur of the sudden existence of
everything is continuous.
It has no time for humanity’s crises and we will all
fall to oblivion.
So I will rise up and be my own cosmos to the
earth!
I’ll find my own worth, for this life will always be
mine to live.
