Electricity is the set of physical phenomena associated with the presence and motion of matter

that has a property of electric charge.

The electron is a subatomic particle, symbol e− or β− , whose electric charge is negative one
elementary charge.

A proton is a subatomic particle, symbol p or p+, with a positive electric charge of

+1e elementary charge and a mass slightly less than that of a neutron.

Matter is a substance that has inertia and occupies physical space. According to modern

physics, matter consists of various types of particles, each with mass and size.

An atom is the smallest constituent unit of ordinary matter that has the properties of

a chemical element.

An electric current is a flow of electric charge.[1]:2 In electric circuits this charge is often carried

by moving electrons in a wire.

A voltage an electromotive force or potential difference expressed in volts.

Resistance is the opposition that a substance offers to the flow of electric current.

A conductor is an object or type of material that allows the flow of an electrical current in one
or more directions.

An electrical insulator is a material whose internal electric charges do not flow freely; very
little electric current will flow through it under the influence of an electric field.
