Project Proposal (10%)

The project that I have created is called TensTagram which is short for Tense in
Instagram. My main objective is to aid students in learning English tense in the simplest way. It
is specifically for year 4 students but, year 5 and 6 students can also use it as a revision
platform. My side objective is to help students to learn using social media platform which is less
tiring and brings more joy and fun to the students as they love to explore the technology. The
equipment needed are simple, a smartphone and an internet connection. Users then will need
to install Instagram and create a new account in order to access the page.

This project will directly and indirectly help students to better learn about tenses in
English. The resources used to make this project were YouTube, Canva and Google. This
project is aligned with content standard 4.2: Able to communicate basic information intelligibly
for a range of purposes in print and digital media. This project integrates the knowledge of daily
activities which is included in the year 4 DSKP syllabus.

The source of my inspiration for my innovation comes from looking at my senior’s

innovation project. One of them is Onion Teachers where they specifically uses Instagram as a
platform to build on their project. Another source is that during my practicum and SBE phase, I
noticed that students are very weak when it comes to using basic tenses. Thus, the idea and
inspiration for me to make this digital innovation project.

I have contacted two (2) of my seniors which are Fatin Nazihah and Noor Iwani to seek
for guidance on how they did their digital innovation. Both of which were face to face
conversation as I made notes on how to do the project. Other resources were also searched on
Google and Pinterest, as well as sampling from other projects.

To implement and apply the project, I will share it with fellow trainee teachers, teachers
in school and also parents to help people discover more about my project. The medium that I
will use to share my project will be Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook. The project will be
given out for free for other people to use.
