 MINUTES OF MEETING
The meeting of Department advisory was held on 03/09/2015 at 03.00 PM and
following discussions are made with reference to agenda.
1. The meeting started with an address by Prof. M. Rajaram (HOD, Mechanical
Department) extending a warm welcome to the advisory board committee members
and a sincere gratitude was expressed towards all the members present for the
meeting.
2. Principal Dr. B.K. Narendra requested all the advisory board members and the
invited guests to introduce themselves.
3. Mr. Ranganatha Swamy L addressed the DAB members and after a round of formal
introduction, the discussion started on the action taken report of the Department on
the DAB minutes of 2014-15. He also mentioned about curriculum gap found in the
syllabus. He also discussed about topics which need to cover beyond syllabus and
additional experiments required in order to full fill the current gap.
4. Mr. Vasanth.P gave suggestions to add some value added courses like modelling and
analysis to full-fill industry requirements.
5. Mr.Sathish Hegde was gave the guide lines to depute the students and staff to
industries during vocational periods.
6. Dr. Manjunath S H suggested to have a industrial & Tie-Ups and to do some
internship activities, guest lectures and project exhibitions in the department.
7. All the advisory members were requested to be a driving force of our department and
extend all their support towards reducing the curriculum gap in an effective manner.
8. The meeting was concluded by extending
vote of thanks to the members by Hon. Principal Dr. B.K.Narendra.
