Thorough knowledge of all auto system & thelr operation, ‘Thorough knowledge of positioning of fire extinguishers , fire detectors , smoke detectors, hydrants , Hose reel hose, Monitors, Fixed manual , auto systems and fires zones. Monitor fire & access alarms via system panels in control room. He should be attentive ‘to all audio buzzers related to fire across building floors. Proper understanding of escalation matrix & should escalate all alarms to site supervisor. In case of emergency to take corrective/preventive action in consultation with site supervisor. Maintain alarm register & corrective action taken. Regular visit to fire control room & visual check of all fre fighting systems and other parameters. To check the pressure gauge of all cylinders of fixed systems on daily basis & maintain the record. Ensure all extinguishers are refilled before expiry date. Ensure proper functioning of access system & in case of discrepancy should escalate to supervisor. He has to maintain records of fire extinguishers, smoke detectors , heat detectors, gas detectors, hose record, station record, accurrence book, Set register, Uniform register, equipment register Maintenance and operations of fire pump and various gears Maintenance of hydrant and sprinkler systems.
