day. They can live for 60 to 70 years. They are also very intelligent and are known for
their gentle nature. They live in groups called herds.
Elephants are endangered animals. It means that they are in danger of dying and not
being found anymore. They are losing their homes because people are cutting down trees
everywhere to build more buildings. Besides that, poachers also hunt them for their ivory
tusks.
In order to protect these precious creatures, we should learn not to disturb their homes.
We should also stop buying ivory products. If we do not play our part in helping the
elephants, they will become extinct sooner.

He gathered all his sons and gave each of them a seed and a flowerpot. “Plant the seed in

Huang Li took the seed home and planted it in the pot. Every day, he watered the seed
and took good care of it. As days passed, Huang Li became worried when he saw nothing
growing in his pot.
After three months, the emperor’s sons brought their plants to the emperor. Huang Li
was amazed when he saw the beautiful plants grown by his brothers. He looked at his
barren pot, feeling embarrassed.
