THE EFFECT OF ACTIVITY GROUP THERAPY SENSORY STIMULATION TO

BEHAVIOUR OF CONTROL HALLUCINATIONS SCHIZOPHRENIA


CLIENTS IN THE MENTAL HOSPITAL INPATIENT
JAMBI PROVINCE IN 2017

ABSTRACT

WHO (2013) says more than 450 million adults globally is estimated to have a mental disorder.
Rehabilitative efforts to improve the ability to control hallucinations on clients who have
hallucinations can be done with a variety of mental nursing therapy, such as by doing modality
therapy consisting of individual therapy and group therapy. One group activity therapy that can
effectively be used to control hallucinations are sensory stimulation therapy group activity.
Design studies conducted experiments that Pre pretest-posttest. The research was conducted in
January 2017 in patient wards RSJD Jambi province with the method of sample using stratified
random sampling with a sample size of 20 people. Methods of data collection using
questionnaires and data analysis methods using univariate and bivariate tests T-Test Dependent.
The analysis showed that the average behavior of control halusninasi before therapy is given to
group activities, sensory stimulation 11.00 and after therapy sensori11,80 stimulation group
activity. No effect of sensory stimulation therapy group activity to behavior control
hallucinations in schizophrenia clients in inpatient Mental Hospital of Jambi Province in 2017 by
the statistical test t-test p-value = 0.000 <0.05.
