Overview

Depression is a very real and treatable illness. Being depressed often feels like carrying a very
heavy burden, but you are not alone in this struggle. Sharing a depression situation with
others can increase awareness about this, as outlined in table below. You have read about
effects of depression, and you want to share your knowledge with your friends in your class.
Create the presentation that consists of the following requirements:

Physical Increase blood pressure Lowest immunity Increase pain
Mental Increases stress Increases anxiety Reduces mood
Social Weakens relationships Obstruction to teamwork Maximizes conflict

General Guidelines

 Your presentation must include:

o A title slide which includes the topic of your presentation and your name.
o Your presentation must include 4 to 5 slides (put any suitable sub topic regarding
depression, for example; causes, effect, medication etc)
o Use a design theme (2016) --- choose one that you like and that you feel is
appropriate for the presentation
o You must use appropriate SmartArt graphic to describe the information in Table 1.
o Use the images where appropriate but don't overdo it.
o Create at least 1 Hyperlink to any Picture in slides.
o Create any suitable action buttons.
o Create at least 1 Hyperlink to any suitable website.
o Check spelling.
o At least one bulleted list that has special effects / animation.
o Print the presentation as handouts, 3 per page.
 Your grade will be based on meeting the requirements above and on the quality and
creativity of the presentation.
 Submission: Hardcopy (handouts) and softcopy .ppt @ .pptx file (iLearn).
