Both and
Both and refers to two things or people together. It is always considered plural in a sentence.

Examples:

 She carves in both stone and wood.

 Nepal has frontiers with both India and China.
 My uncle has both a girl and a boy.
 I can speak both English and French.

Either or
Either or is correlative conjunction. We use either … or to connect things which are the
same types, phrases, clauses or words.

Examples:

 Either my father or my brothers are coming.

 Well, I think she’s either Russian or Polish.
 Either John or Jane has to give up their job.
 I left it either on the table or in the drawer.

Neither nor
This structure, neither nor is used to connect the same kind of word or phrase in the
sentence. Neither makes a negative statement about two people or things.

Examples:

 Love is neither bought nor sold.

 Neither my mother nor my father went to university.
 The weather is mild today, it is neither hot nor cold.
 We can neither change nor improve it.
