 Additional Specification, Terms and Conditions

Name of Work: MOEI & Fans, R/M of P/Sets, D.G.Sets etc. at New CGO Bldg.,
Mumbai – 20

Sub Head:- Providing man power services.

1. The staff employed by the firm shall be their own employees. Any staff claims such
as their permanency etc. raised for this work is to be settled by the contractor itself
and department shall not be responsible at all.

In case of any accident or fatal cases, the department is not held responsible for the
same. The contractor should have proper insurance for the workers against such
exigencies.

2. In case a staff of the contactor as above fails to attend the duty, the contractor shall
have to provide alternative arrangement immediately. If contractor fails to do so, the
recovery of the following rates will be affected.

A. Wire Man @ Rs. 1000/- per day.

B. Khalasi @ Rs. 800/- per day.

3. In case any major defects or abnormalities found in the system during checking it
should be informed to the Engineer-in-Charge.

4. No advance payment will be made to the contractor. However Quarterly running

payment shall be made on the basis of services rendered by the contractor as per
the terms and conditions of contract.

5. No T&P will be issued to the contractor.

6. Contractor is liable to provide all necessary electrical precautionary measure to his

staff and all local safety & security regulations shall be observed strictly.

7. The contractor shall arrange to render efficient service as outlined above. However,
in case he fails to maintain the service to the satisfaction of the satisfaction of the
Engineer-in-charge and if department has incurred any expenditure to maintain the
installation by making alternate arrangement, the expenditure thus incurred will be
recovered from the contractor, for which Engineer-in-change decision shall be final.

8. The department reserves the right to terminate this contract without giving any notice,
at any time if the performance of the contractor is found unsatisfactory.

9. The contractor or his staff should not remove; disturb / dislocate the existing
equipment and its parts from its position until and unless it is authorized by the
Engineer-in-charge. The entire installation should be initial taking over for its
maintenance & operation. Care should also be taken to prevent damage or theft.
10. The contractor shall employ qualified / trained persons for operation of the
equipment’s & shall be fully responsible to obtain such licenses for taking up the
above work as prescribed by the State/ Local bodies/ CPWD operating staff.

11. While on duty workers should be in neat and clean uniform (Light Blue – Shirt and
Dark Blue pant with black colour shoes and white socks with a engraved name plate
on the pocket of the shirt, the recovery shall be made as Rs. 100/- per person / per
shift for not wearing the uniform and shoes and possess I card issued by Agency.)
